Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a pretty wild movie that takes some big swings and it has some cool Sam Raimi stuff too. Oh, and sins. It has sins.

  • I'm still bitter about Vision being completely forgotten from this storyline
  • @rafiq403
Something I've never understood is why would Wanda take over another Wanda's family. Surely in the multiverse there is at least one where she died and left two orphans behind who need a mother.
  • Benedict Cumberbatch tried to warn us: “Yeah. Well… yeah that’s part of the problem,” Cumberbatch replied. “There’s a lot of stuff going on in it. It’s like, do I have a character arc in this? Is it working?” He knew.

Forcing us to listen to the ice cream song again is simply unforgivable. The severe cringe from watching it the first time all those months ago was only just starting to wear off.
  • @trifectumart
I find it hilarious how Chavez somehow missed every single spiderman in the multiverse, despite the fact that spiderman travels across worlds every ten minutes and basically has giant parties with himself
  • I’m actually mad he didn’t give Reed like 400 sins for telling Wanda how to kill Black Bolt. Definitely a missed opportunity 😂😭
  • The Loki show really made it seem like Multiverse of Madness would focus on the TVA and branching timelines in some way. But the writer for this movie decided it would be cooler to use their self insert fanfiction character and destroy Wanda's entire character arc instead. Brilliant! That last bit was sarcasm.
  • I can't imagine how terrifying Black Bolt's superpowers really is if he accidently stubbed his toe on the table.

Let's talk about the villain's plan. Surprised there was no sin about Wanda sharing her motivation with Wong in the temple. "What if my kids got sick?" felt oddly lazy. She could've said something more like, "I want to protect my children in EVERY universe," and that would not only make more sense for the story, but would've also made her feel like even more of a threat to reality itself. Edit: People, I get that she's acting like a mother, and I get that she's being driven insane. I'm saying I want her to be even MORE insane.
  • I want to know 1. Why do the infinity stones only work in their respective universe, but some random spell can effect them all? 2. Why are America's portals star shaped?
  • WandaVision gave proper closure to Wanda with the death of Vision and helped her realize she cant live lies because she just hurts everyone in that process I absolutely LOVE how this movie completely backtracks over every second of that

5:13 I'm actually fully invested in the theory that Strange saw SEVERAL possibilities where they were able to defeat Thanos without handing over the time stone, but he saw that to do so would doom all life on Earth via the impending Emergence (see Eternals). So he let Thanos "win" knowing it would put the celestial back to sleep so that the Eternals could destroy it six years later, thus sparing all life on Earth...

Is no one going to talk about the undeserved sin at 3:39? She guessed that because thats how real spiders shoot webs.
  • @robbyfresh69
The "Reed Richards Quiet Place" sin was so smoothly thrown in there it damn near gave me whip lash 💀💀
  • With the tea thing, remember in the first Dr. Strange, halfway through his soul getting flung through the multiverse by the Ancient One. Strange asks if the tea he was offered has been spiked with psychedelics. You’d think after that experience, and knowing Mordo from his own verse, he wouldn’t take a cup of tea he never saw being poured in front of him 😅
  • @izzisart
My main issue with this film is that in the first Doctor Strange, it's clearly stated they use the sling rings to travel the Multiverse. Meaning by Marvel's own internal logic, America's powers aren't that unique, and all Wanda needed to do was frisk Wong for his ring. (Or temporarily join the Wizards and get given one in training)
  • In America's defence, actual spiders have the silk coming out the back via the spinnerets so her asking if it came out of his butt was a fair assumption to make.
