Rare "live" video of this incredible group. On lead: Valerie Holiday.

In 1970, signed to Roulette Records, The Three Degrees scored their first national chart hit with a remake of the Chantels' "Maybe" with Valerie Holiday taking the lead vocals. It went to number 4 in the R&B chart in 1970. The follow-up, "I Do Take You," peaked at 7.

Barrett worked a deal with Gamble & Huff's Philadelphia International Records (PIR).
One of the singles released by PIR was "When Will I See You Again". The single went platinum, selling over two million copies and became an international hit all over the world.

After more than three decades of existence, these ladies can still make the claim as being the longest running female vocal group in music history!... see the Guiness Book of Records for confirmation of this fact!

Not slowing down at all! They have a new single, released in Sep. 2010, called "HOLDING BACK" available @ www.energiserecords.com and all major download sites.

  • Now I understand why these ladies harmonize so good, they all can sing lead. And that is quite rare and remarkable. Thanks ladies for your beautiful songs. RIP Fayette Pinkney

Valerie Holiday....the thread that kept The Three Degrees relevant, and such an overlooked artist....
  • The three derees is one of the best group in the world very outstanding especially there out fit
  • A great find! Even on backgrounds, Sheila shines so gloriously through. She'll always be the number 1 Degree on lead. Having said that, sassy Valerie, sure took hold of this one - well and truly. And sweet, beauuuuuuuuuuuuuutlful, angel Fayet - forever radiant and untouched by time.
  • Love this girl group , won us all with Their tight harmonies and exceptional and timeless songs and vocal leads , literal blueprint for the future girl groups ❤
