Many people on keto actually count net carbs instead of total carbs. Basically, net carbs are carbs - fiber and that number is what counts towards the carb total for the day. Some people also do unlimited non-starchy vegetables and are successful too. It is difficult for many to get enough fiber on the diet but, generally, they weren't getting enough fiber on the standard American diet either so, I consider that more of a personal issue. People also have to be intentional to take in more salt on keto to keep electrolytes balanced and stave off the keto flu.

Nutritionist is not the legally protected term, dietician is. Dietitians have licensing requirements and credentials; whereas anybody can claim to be a dietitian. You give me $50 and I’ll send you a certificate that means nothing that says you’re a dietitian. Also, never trust anybody who talks about detox. That’s why you have a liver and kidneys, for detox. If toxins built up in your body above that which your liver and kidneys could handle, everybody would die before becoming a toddler, much less make it to their 70s and beyond. Detox is nonsense and a marketing gimmick towards people who don’t understand medicine or human physiology.
