This video came from an idea one of my subscribers who suggested this idea. You know who you are but WOW that was some work. I'm not sure I'll do that again but I took the Deus II, Nokta Makro Legend, and the Minelab Equinox 800 on a walk through a section of this huge farm I permission to metal detect on. I will state up front that I have Park 1 of the Equinox set up for a coin program that I forgot about and didn't figure out until the end but I addressed that in the video. I'm not sure there was anything Earth shattering in this video but they are 8 REAL Virgin targets that sounded good with the XP Deus 2. I put a lot of time in this video so I appreciate your time watching it. Drop me a comment and offer me your thoughts and suggestions.

To the fan boys there's no detector as good as theirs no matter how many test are done and the outcome. Every detector is different and used differently by each user. Some hunt coins, some relics, beaches,. Etc.. I'd say buy what you can afford and enjoy the hobby.
  • Thanks for making this Scott, and I'm sure it was a lot of work, but this is just what we all love to see, head to head action, justification for some, vindication for others! Crazy how often "picked over" areas can produce with a different machine, or a different scan direction.
  • @RobNC-OG
Thank you for taking the time and effort to do these tests. It will help many to make a more informed buying decision.

Always have enjoyed your videos Scott, you didn't fail to deliver again, it was excellent.......Thanks!
  • Great comparison on the different machines. Thanks for doing this video šŸ‘
  • Thank you for making these videos it helps we learn a lot. Good video
  • A very nice comparison. One of the best if not the best Iā€™ve seen. Thank you
  • @patprop74
Fantastic comparison video, i already bought a Legend, at one point i was on the fence between the three of them, and I'm sure your video will help someone else out on which to pick.
  • @phargan143
Great work. New fan thanks for taking the time . This is what I am looking for .
  • Thanks for making this excellent video. I live where the dirt is too mineralized for single frequency detectors to do very well. So, I own a three detectors tested in the video also and really like them. Same results for me. Head to head all three are great detectors and won't miss much. No matter what you may have heard....all three work great for coins, jewelry and relics. Like the video maker said, it is all about your budget and any ergonomics requirements you might have.
  • @OP-Taylor
    Excellent video, a great compairison!!!
  • @pocketjokers1
I like that Legend , that machine really hits the targets very hard !
  • Iā€™m just so happy other companies including Deus and Nokta, came out with multi frequency. Having a detector that you can select singles if thereā€™s too much EMI, different bands of multi frequencies, minerals, salt water, and lastly waterproof. I love my Deus 2 for weight/balance over anything but the Legend appears to be a great machine. When you factor the base machine is 1/3 the deus 2 and half or less than the new Nox, 1/3 the Manticore, if value is the main factor and affordability then the Legend is the clear winner. Itā€™s also built like a tank. I need to get out and play with the Legend too, just hard to get out these days.
  • @JusDirtfishin
Enjoyed the comparison Scott. Was something different than the rest. Like you said just depends on your budget. None is worth going in debt over. So get what you can afford. Thanks for sharing
  • @donaldphelps536
Excellent video, one of the few I have seen that is totally unbiased. Great job.
  • @starkruzen
Good video! Thanks for taking the time to do this. I wanted a new machine to replace my AT Pro and Marko Multi Kruzer. I ordered the Marko legend. I like the non-ferrous notification and the new tones and design of the legend. The Nox is too expensive and did not perform as well but I know it is a good machine. Thanks again!
  • @LorenLemcke
I hunt in heavy iron, and I compared 200 signals, 100 found with Equinox and 100 found with the Deus 2. I didn't record it on video, but both detectors could hit every target. When a signal was sketchy and not a clear dig on one machine, it was also sketchy on the other. I think the performance margins are much closer than people think largely because the physics of the situation is the real limiting factor.
