Sitting in the middle of one of the most wealthy neighborhoods in America. This $8.5 million dollar mansion once owned by country music legend Kenny Rogers. The mansion has become nothing but an eyesore to the neighbors. weeds have grown to be over 7 feet tall from the neglect of the landscape as well as an in ground pool that is full of algae. But what could have possibly happened for it to be this way. But let’s go back to the beginning. The mansion was first built in 1990 as a castle like estate with over 15,000 square feet of living space featuring 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a 4 car garage and full basement with a bar, state of the art gym and much more. Now one thing that makes this place very special is that it was once owned by the late and great Country music star Kenny Rogers. He lived like a king in this marvelous mansion until 2006 when he sold it for $8.5 million dollars to a very wealthy family from Nigeria. This family ran many different dermatology locations throughout many states. Unfortunately there seemed to be some shady business going on. Around 2018 things took a turn for the worse for the family. The feds were after them for owing $6.5 million in back taxes. But the story doesn’t end there. After they left a family member was in charge of watching over the family estate. But what was really happening was the mansion was being rented out for events like weddings, and even music videos for Rappers Offset, 21 Savage, and Russ. But in just 17 months the police were called to the estate 100 times for noisy parties. The final straw was when rapper YFN lucci had a party at the mansion where many things got damaged and the police were called again. The town ultimately was fed up with the mansion being used for business and they shut the operation down. Ever since the grand estate has sat vacant and abandoned with many signs of neglect. So join me today and let’s see what’s left!

I once worked as a carpenter on a new 11,000 sq ft house being built in denver for a wealthy elderly couple. In my opinion, these large houses are a waste of money and resources

Imagine how beautiful this mansion was in it's glory days. Thanks for this video. RIP Kenny Rogers.

I'll give $50.00 for it right now, and promise not to piss off the neighbors even once......AND, I'll pay the back taxes; $10 a month until it's paid. I'm good for it.
  • It does not take long for nature to reclaim the land. This house must have been superb when Kenny lived there. R.I.P. Kenny.
  • It’s not Kenny Rogers’ fault because the house is abandoned. The last owners are responsible for its neglect.

It WASN'T Kenny Rodgers house anymore he had SOLD it to these people who apparently had more money than sense!

Wow…can only imagine how beautiful this was when Kenny Rodger’s owned it!❤️🙏🏻
  • Thanks for the post! I worked with Kenny Rogers, back in the 70’s when things weren’t going so well for him. He was a very nice guy! 🙏🏻 RIP

It is blowing my mind how such a beautiful house is abandoned and in amazing shape considering anyone with any intention can just walk through it ... absolutely unreal

It wouldn't take much to make this house shine again. Get some cleaning crews to do deep cleaning and buffing, get a lawn care crew and a construction crew to fix the minor issues. I hope someone bought it.

I remember years ago K.R. was going to play at our county fair. My mom was so excited! She wanted to go see him really bad. She begged and bribed me to go with her so I went. It was fun to see her so happy. It is the only time she ever went to go see a famous singer. When we got there it wasn't like the kind of concerts I'd been to. It was rather small. They had a stage up front and it was an auditorium type thing with seats Every seat was filled with people happy to be there and looking forward to seeing the singer. He was late, really late, 1/2 hour to maybe 45 minutes. After the introduction and applause he came out and sat on one of the tall stools that were on the stage. He started to sing if you could call it that. He was shouting more than singing and off key. He strumed his guitar like a 5 year old might. He nearly fell off his stool a couple times. He was drunk. He began insulting the people there, calling us ignorant hillbillies, worthless and all sorts of names. The people who had been happy were stunned and disgusted and confused. We watched and listened for a bit and slowly people began to leave. My mom was so disapointed. We didn't talk about it much after wards except to decide he was an alcoholic. And most likely a really mean, bad man at heart. The only silver lining was I never got asked to see some country western singer again. eeh hah!
  • Thank you for providing all of the history and how it went from being built by the owner and then how it got to the state that it’s in today. You’re one of the only channels that actually provides the lead-in history to the mansion that is always missing on other channels. Thank you

It’s all so extra that it loses the coziness factor for me. Larger isn’t always better and it seems as though people who end up buying these kind of homes never keep them long. It’s only their turn and it’s short. In order to maintain and keep something like this it takes enormous wealth for taxes, maintenance and upkeep.

"Its always golden showers in these mansions, no pun intended!" 😂
  • @latonyasmith683
I just found this channel like yesterday and I love it!🙂
  • Surprised it hasn't been vandalized and still has power. What a beautiful place , sure hope someone can take it over and bring it back to life ! What a crazy bedroom. Thanks for the tour BigBankz 👍

I wonder how a couple or even a family can live in these huge mansions with all these rooms and fill them up. They must always have lots of guests to use all the rooms. Especially the countless bathrooms. I would feel very lost. I've now seen a few videos from this channel and I want to tell you that I think it's great how much respect and esteem you show for these houses.
  • When you come home and get the feeling someone broke in and is hiding somewhere you would spend an hour looking around and still not be sure.
