A gray whale showed up inside Dana Point Harbor today and was lost inside for a couple hours, after it exited the harbor, it continued up the coast towards Alaska where I got this video in front of Montage Hotel near Aliso Beach in Laguna Beach, California. The rest of the migrating gray whales are feeding right now up North in Alaskan waters. For media inquiries, email [email protected]

That's a very young gray whale.. its unbelievable how the whale swam so close to the shore and all those people had no idea it was even there.

I just love how everybody, including the big sea creature are so calm and minding their own businesses.... I loved everything about this clip ❤️❤️❤️❤️
  • I'm so glad nobody tried to interact with it and just let it do its thing. They are such majestic mammals.

The whale was filming a documentary about humans that swim!

Years ago a whale was beached early in the morn at Crescent Bay and a bunch of guys helped push it back in the water. It was amazing to see. This video was amazing! Thanks for sharing.

Gray whales often come close to shore to feed. I’ve seen them in Puget Sound within 10 feet of shore and at Depot Bay near Lincoln City Oregon they come right up to the sea wall where you can park and watch them feeding. Its really something to see them so close in such shallow water.

Wow!. What an inspiring thing to see (although seemed like most of the bathers were oblivious to it,s presence). Such a huge majestic peaceful creature among us 'tiny' humans. I hope he was reunited with the rest of his family and has a long 'untroubled' life.

This is such an awesome video, not only (of course) the whale being so close, but the clarity of the water!.

I looks like those bathers were unaware of the whale being there, a couple were even looking underwater with scuba masks. Personally I would have shit myself if I'd seen it next to me
