**NEW 2024 GUIDE HERE:    • VRCHAT BEGINNERS GUIDE [2024] - Intro...

Here is a new-players guide on how to play VRChat!! :) This is a great video if you’ve never played the game before, or maybe you played but got overwhelmed. If you’ve been to VRChat events and heard things like “everyone needs a yellow avatar” or want to know how to reduce lag when you’re in an instance full of 80 people- this video is also for you! I literally thought of everything I wish I knew when I first started playing, and covered it all. If you have more questions (or wanna make a custom avatar) then join my Discord ^-^

Good resource for new players- comment for the algorithm gods.
  • @Fanaticalight
VRChat needs more tutorials like this since I see new players confused on how to do things. Especially with the new UI! Great work PHIA!
  • After having vrchat for like 2 years, I still feel like I don’t know how it works. This video helps a lot. Thanks phia!
  • I've been playing the game for 2 years, but it's always nice to learn some new things!

I've been trying to get into VR Chat (desktop mode before investing in VR Hardware) for years but every time I open the game: I walk around, somebody says hi to me, and I bloop back to my default spawn point because I'm scared that something creepy or traumatizing might happen. But this video helps me feel more safe and confident. I think I will try to get back into it again. Thank you so so so much!

Thank you Phia! My first time in the game, I knew nothing and it lead to a really terrible experience. But this video has restored my interest in giving VRChat a second chance.

I've been playing vrchat for a few years but it's always nice to know something new so I watched. Turns out I did learn some new things. Thanks for making this, it's rly helpful 😊

I'm not sure if I missed it - but another small change that can give you 3-4 frames in a crowded world - is disabling anti-aliasing. Yes, you will see jagged lines, but at least you'll have a few frames to see what is going on. (safety settings -> performance -> adv graphics -> multi-sampling anti-aliasing (select disabled))
  • This was one of the first VRChat videos that I've watched - I first watched this before I even got a vr headset. This video made me extremely excited to play VRChat. After playing it for a few months now, I still watch this video and look up to you! Thanks Phia! :D

Great intro for new users! Sadly there will always be some malicious user out there but VRChat is definitely has more wonderful people to meet and hangout with!
  • @GoHappyGamers
Very informative. Thank you making this tutorial. Ive been looking into trying out VRchat as I want to meet new people and this guide is certainly going to help me ease into community much smoother.
  • @EmmaTorch
Very thorough. And nice to have an updated guide for new users. Thanks for your hard work!
  • @zellishmusic
I've been playing VRchat for like... a year now, and still learned something! Thanks, PHIA! <3
  • @gabrote42
Exactly the kind of toolbox I've come to expect from good software. Extremely customizable, just as digital body projection should be. GJ, devs, and thanks for the tutorial.
  • Can you please re-do this guide with the new menu HUD? I realise it would be a major project due to all the extended functionality, but I know new users would appreciate your presentation style.
  • @ChroahCresta
I already knew all of this but I still watched it from start to finish and comment to support the algorithm
  • @zackan_
