Moonshine Still Running the Hillbilly Flute

I attempted to get a permit to produce ethanol in PA. I was honest and forthright, and they shot me down quickly and said no matter how many acres of land I own, no matter how much safety I include, no matter how knowledgeable I may be, no matter how upfront and honest and legal I would commit to being, they have decided that I am not free to pursue my happiness by distilling on my home land. America is not what it should be, it should be about we, the people, not them, the politicians. Not everything should be about their damned money.

Mike, what would you think about adding two doublers very near to the boiler of the still (to maintain heat) containing Ca(OH)2 in one and activated carbon in the other? Would this succesfully heighten ABV while cleaning the product while killing two birds in one stone (e.g. spirit filtration)? Or would this just add too much time to distilling?
