The U.S. and Canadian air defense intercepted Russian and Chinese bombers near Alaska in a first joint patrol by the two nations in the area. U.S. and Canadian fighter jets, including F-16s, F-35s, and CF-18s, intercepted two Russian Tu-95s and two Chinese H-6s operating in the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone. The aircraft remained in international airspace and were not deemed a threat. This occurred shortly before President Biden’s address, marking an unusual collaboration between Russia and China in the region.

    You can literally walk from Russia to Alaska when Bering Strait is frozen and this is most likely how Americas were first populated by humans thousands of years ago. Famous Diomede islands are two closest points between two countires are only ~4km apart.
