Love this beautiful old town ! My maternal grandfather was born here. His birth certificate said "Austria," because it was during the time of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He earned his way to America by stoking the boiler of the steamship with coal to power it. He came through Ellis Island, in the early 1900's, and after going through The Naturalization Process, settled in Buffalo, New York where my mother and her 3 siblings were born. He was born in 1886, and died in 1986. I loved him very much, and miss him. He called me "Ginny Love."

Hi, just came back home after a fantastic holiday in Dubrovnik, we stayed just outside the old town and taxis are readily available to take you wherever you want, Cavtat is a must to visit and relax, we had a great time and will revisit the area again , would highly recommended visiting Croatia 👍

Theres actually a bridge now that bypasses Bosnia ... so its not isolated from the rest of Croatia anymore :)
