My grandma would chop them up finely and mix with scrambled eggs. It’s delicious and nutritious

“No thorns” The one thorn remaining - are you challenging me 🤨

Sokka will be so happy with this recipe ❤😂❤
  • When I visited Puebla with my Church we ate a dish called "Volcano Soup" it was served in a lava bowl and had cactus in it. Absolutely outstanding. 25 years later I still think about that soup as the best I ever had and probably ever will.

Chef: "No thorns." Thorn on the middle right: "Am I a joke to you?"

Everyday I find out that things I thought inedible were edible
  • Guy in a dessert: " I heard we can get water from catcus! His friend: "Lemme get my oil and sauce pan."

You can eat them with anything really, I love them with scrambled eggs, beans on the side, flour tortillas, salsa, shredded asadero and cream. So good!
  • My Abuelita used to make cactus tacos for us all the time when we were kids and I really loved them and still do.

I like this guy. Straight up authentic Mexican recipes, no silly deep fried pizza taco. Respect 🫡

(As a retired chef) I love seeing something I've not tried before, and cactus fits the bill. Thank you!
  • I have a whole jar of these in my fridge, they're so good. When I first had them I was visiting family in México. We went to Tolantongo and camped by the river, rented a big clay dish and roasted them over a fire with tortillas and meat, added aguacate and ate them right there. Indescribably good.
