When I was listening to this I immediately knew what the song was and was waiting for the phrase "I'm the righteous hand of god and the devil you forgot".

I LOVE how you don't just follow exactly the same melody as everyone, and add a little flavor into it, even if it is small. And it just gives the song a little different vibe, like an undeterred fighter rather than the furious vengeance of the original. I love it so much.

Your OC starts out as a Viking/Pirate, looking for a treasure and running into a nobleman and fellow pirate. After some time, you two meet again and after some hostility, you come to an understanding in the face of a common enemy. Fighting this enemy together results in the old romantic feelings coming back, your OC and the nobleman becoming lovers, and in your OC becoming a knight. In the battle where your lover betrays you, your friends, fallen through his treachery, are also your loyal crew. As you stagger from the battlefield, just barely keeping from bleeding out, you witness the galley that your mother sang about in your childhood burning on the water before sinking beneath the waves. As you drift around in the months afterwards, it's not just for yourself that you desire revenge. Your friends, your crew, your ship, and your childhood dream: All gone because of him. The anger you felt when he got to the treasure first and revealed that he had been playing you returns, roaring into a hellish inferno. Armed with new weapons and your "death", you make your way to his hometown, fire in your eyes and heart. There is no hero to hold out for now, no galley with good oars, only the Righteous Hand of God, and the Devil that he forgot. Thoughts?
