WARNING: VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED. THIS VIDEO IS NOT FOR KIDS.
Being a fan of my little pony was a dangerous thing back in our childhoods. Entering a community filled with grown men making content for each other lead us to see a lot of disturbing stuff. In this video I uncover and discuss the ways that the Brony Fandom Traumatized Generation Z.

I am disturbed by the fact that a lot of children probably had their first introduction to pornography when they simply wanted to Google their favorite pony.

Props to this guy having to revisit his childhood trauma to explain this stuff to us
  • @violetskiy854
I was terrified first finding this stuff then it turned into fascination. Turning fear into something more 'positive' like that is a symptom of trauma

as a little girl with zero supervision on the internet it actually scarred me seeing my favorite show about ponies being killed and bloodied up fr messed me up
  • Genuinely surprised you didn't being up "Banned From Equestria" The game, cause when you mentioned the inflation flash game I was so sure you'd remember that one too. The fact that it was both free to play and people uploaded playthroughs of it without a warning was insane. If you don't remember, it's the game where you're a human sent to equestria (isekai I have no idea?) and your 'goal' is to... Get as many ponies pregnant as you can. The gamaplay aspect was just uncensored sex. Paraphrasing heavily since I literally haven't seen it since I was maybe 10? 11? so
  • I’m so happy that it seems so many creators are talking about this now. I remember how deeply scarred I was by a lot of these animations and all, and this whole thing really just feels therapeutic to me, being able to talk about it and get the closure after so long

it's taken me many years to realize that discussing gore and porn about your favorite cartoon characters at age 8/9 was not normal, i feel bad for us
  • I will always defend that there's nothing wrong with adults being fans of things considered childish or for kids, but there are definitely lines and this crosses many of them.
  • I searched up for a witch animatronic one day (someone I knew had one) and I found the fluffy pony abuse. It was actually extremely traumatizing.

19 year old gen Z here! Apparently some MLP horror / Creepypasta is coming back into mainstream due to the infection AUs it would be interesting if you could have that mentioned in a future video
  • Funny thing is that as a child i watched these and didn’t think much into it. But now i’m older, and looking back i’m confused how i wasn’t scared or traumatized by it

Honestly, the gore stuff like “smiles” and “cupcakes” hell even the whole “rainbow factory” thing didn’t really bother me too much as a kid. I was like “that’s weeeird” and moved on. It was the borderline gory sexual stuff that traumatized me. It was vile to me and I’d try to stay far away from it, but unfortunately it was unavoidable

Brrr… that creepy image of Applebloom just stares straight to my soul. I don’t know what it is about it that hits me so deep. I hate it
  • @DustziePaw
Adult Gen Z Brony here, personally I was a fan of some of the horror, alot of the more brutal stuff I tried to stay away from, though I will say alot of the sexualization is very over the top, and led to me being a victim so that’s something that personally bothers me
  • @fishbrain9591
The gore is one thing, but the absolute oversexualization of the community was what really messed me up as a kid. It ruined my childhood, I was exposed to these adult themes way too soon and now I'm still struggling with my anxiety around innocence and sexuality.
  • @stickywhiskers
Frankly I’m not sure how I turned out so normal after stumbling upon almost all of these as a 10-11 year old and loving them…
  • @pomegranatewolf
Thank you so much for this video, honestly. I'm a woman that became interested in MLP when I was 10, and fell into the brony fandom at that age, and honestly it affected me so negatively. I ended up getting exposed to all of the content you mentioned at way too young an age, and also ended up getting groomed. MLP is not something I look back at too fondly now as a result, but I've since healed from my experiences. This video made me feel so seen, and to anybody else that went through these experiences, I'm so sorry. I hope that you've been able to heal too, and I wish you nothing but the best ❤

I was part of this generation and I vividly remember watching cupcakes and being horrified... I watched it like every week or so...
