Currently I am grinding lots of Aimlabs.
I though a video outlining my current skills and training would be a good starting point for any beginner new to controller aiming!

I might try adding a voiceover track to this in future to explain what I am doing a bit more.

Chapters
0:00 - Settings
1:52 - Gridshot
5:28 - StillSwitch
11:25 - SwirlShot
23:30 - WaveShot
29:00 - StrafeTrack

Settings
Crosshair - Small circle, bright green.
Targets - Black R: 0, G: 0, B: 0, A: 255
Background: White
3 contrasting colours. You can easily see the targets against the background, you can clearly see when the crosshair is over the target.
Right stick sensitivity: 1.2
Aim Deadzone: 1 (go 0 if you can, I think I need a new controller as my drift is getting out of hand. You will see in SwirlShot that my controller is all over the place)

Gridshot
I don't really play this much but think it is a good starting point for trying to aim and whether your sensitivity is right.

Once you are getting a consistent high score (65+) and consistently getting an accuracy of (95%+) you can move on to SwirlShot - 11:25 !

[I did these in the wrong order in the video, but will correct it if I make an edited version of this video!]

SwirlShot
This scenario is classed as a flicking scenario, but that is not what I have been practising here.
I have been practising trying to make smooth movements with my aim stick.

Going in circles, around 50% of the circle's radius, I have been trying to make a path between the targets and glide the crosshair over the path, to then hit the targets as the two intersect.
When you do this nicely, the targets start forming lines that you can aim to follow.
If I miss a target I am trying my hardest not to go back, but to continue on my path.

Go once round clockwise, then next time go anti-clockwise. Every time you complete the task, swap the direction you travel.

When you feel you are making nice smooth paths in both directions it is time to move on to StillSwitch - 5:28 !
These smooth movements are key to correcting your flicks in StillSwitch

StillSwitch
With this task you want to gauge how well you are flicking.
Hold down fire for the duration of the task. you should fire 6000 bullets (You can see it in the stats at the end of the round)
If you land on a target nicely, the target will be killed almost immediately.
If you overflick (Hit the target initially but then pass over the target) the target will not be killed immediately. you need to slow down your flick as you approach the target.
If you are underflicking (Don't even reach the target) you need to do a slow micro adjustment after your flick to aim for target, and precision will come with practise.
If you are missing your flicks and not going directly to the target, I would try to focus on the target you want to flick to and not look at your crosshair.
When you are getting around 550+ points it is probably time to move on to Wave Shot 23:30 !

WaveShot
This task will utilise the previous two skills of flicking and smooth movements.
In this task you get 10 points per kill, and -3 points when you miss, so accuracy matters! !!! DON'T SPAM SHOTS !!!

If you miss 2 concurrent shots on a target find a new target. Don't continue shooting at the same target. You will lose points heavily doing this.

Try to see a targets path and flick to the target and smoothly glide over the target's path. Fast accurate flicks, and small movements with the target are key to a high score here.

StrafeTrack
This again will utilise the previous skills of flicking and smooth movement.

Hold down the trigger for the duration of the task, you should fire 6000 rounds during this task. Your accuracy is key here to getting a good score.

Smoothly glide with the target, and flick when it changes direction or speed.

For mw3 i think the 20 sensitivity is around 1.9, for me i play 17 sens so 1.4 or 1.5 feels food

Do you know a way to convert aim settings from a game to this ?
