For everyone saying oceiros charge should have been in the worst attacks category: While i agree the attack is bullshit and unreactable, i kinda like how it impacts the fight. I cant hang out in front of him, i have to make sure that after his combos i end up behind or to his side.

My coolest move has definitely gotta be Elden Beast's grab, casts you in the air, crucifies you like Marika, and impales you with hundreds of holy light spears. Elden Beast has some of the best and worst moves, but I still think it's a solid final boss.

Placidusax is the coolest boss because HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A BOSS CUT OFF THEIR OWN MUSIC FOR A LIGHTNKNG NUKE? Big bro is my goat
  • @xTCHAOTICTx
You forgot to mention the worst part about Godskin Noble's roll attack is that there's a very high chance that in the middle of the roll he'll switch to another attack very abruptly, and once it's done he'll snap back into the roll with no windup or animation. It's a bugged attack

I think Oceiros' charge attack deserves a place in top of worst too. Despite the boss himself being an absolute harmless punch bag his charge has 0 pre-animation and he just does it instantly. I prefer just beat his ass all the time because when I stay in front of him he always gets me with this charge, it's completly unreactable.

If anyone says boc hand swipes isn’t the worst move I’ll be baffled It is basically the main reason that boss is so fucking hated
  • Honestly wasn't expecting Rykards attack at 1 but holy hell it absolutely is. That feeling of being overwhelmed is crazy, especially with the music rising throughout.
  • Fashion Souls, a ranking of the best looking bosses based on subjectivity, it could be based on the music, the arena, the voicelines and the design of the boss

Waterfowl Dance is the best attack in the entire series, because when you learn how to dodge it with mid-rol, you can gaslight other players into thinking that they are just bad at the game if they can't roll it, LOL Jokes aside, waterfowl is indeed bullshit. Malenia is cool as fuck, and I have a lot of fun fighting her even at RL1, but that attack and how she resets stagger if you hit her in certain animations is kinda unfair tbh
  • No Crucible/Scarlet Rot AoE follow ups for Morgott/Malenia respectively? Especially Morgott, that with his sword rain alongside his goated moveset is the best thing in Soulsborne.
  • One attack I think is one of the coolest ones is champion gundyr’s shoulder barge attack. I think it’s just super cool that in a world of magic and huge swords he just decides to beat you like a football player

i always really like sword saint isshins naginata thrusting attack even if its really easy to mikiri

Inner Father's mist raven double slash is my pick for best attack. Adds a significant risk-reward element to the fight, and the fact that he can chain multiple means if you have good deflect timing, you can rack up some decent posture damage very quickly. The only problem is, this attack, more than any other in Sekiro, is much easier to react to at higher framerates. I second Foreskin Apostle's double slash being the absolute worst. It's so bad to parry as well, since you need to start around his left, your right, and react as soon as you see his weapon lift.

Maybe a controversial take, but here it goes: I fucking LOVE Mohg's NIHIL! attack in Elden Ring, and it sits comfortably in my top 5 coolest attacks, maybe even at the top. It's amazing and terrifying: you can't dodge it, you can't run away from it, it tears through your HP and if you don't chug crimson tears, it kills you, simple as. It genuinely does convey the gravity of the fact that this raving lunatic actually managed to unearth a form of communion with an outer god of unimaginable horror and power, and that's fucking sick. Also, if you just want to enjoy the fight without its bullshit, there's that tear that negates it, which is a nice reward for exploring and following side quests along with the main story. And also also, and this is the absolute best and a huge part of why I love it, once you actually get the SoB, you can use his trident and the very attack, and in a twist of fate, it is actually just as ridiculous as it is when the boss uses it, and is easily the most overpowered weapon art in the whole game. Nothing beats melting Malenia down to half her HP as you chant NIHIL! in remembrance of good old uncle Lester (Mogh-Lester). Blood for the Lord of Blood! Glory to his inevitable reign!
  • Deathrite Birds Ghostflame is dependant on the compass. One point of the star will always point north and it is a 5 pointed star, so if you stand south of the Deathbird you will always be safe. Extremely cool attack. Lupine showed you can avoid Rykards earthquake by jumping on the corpses that litter the arena. I like Nobles rolling attack, you can sprint jump perpendicular to him when he approaches to avoid the initial roll, then for the rest of its duration just strafe to one direction and he cant catch you. He rolls as a cylinder, not a sphere. Waterfowl isnt really too fun, but the coolness factor is worth it.

friede's third phase "grab" lowkey deserves to be on the coolest list. yk the one. I'd also argue soul of cinder changing his weapon is one of the best mechanic attacks in the series, forces you to play against and learn an entirely new moveset
  • @reiswoodard6630
I think the worst is micolash’s beams of light, Coolest is malenia’s grab, and the best is Godfrey’s earth splitting combo.
  • @anstorner
I was expecting Decaying Ekzykes to be on the worst attacks or at least an mention, when he does the Rotten Miasma attack and you are close to him you are pretty much dead no matter how fast you run (specially if you arent on the horse), also u run so far away the health bar of the boss disappears alongside the music, which is very dumb, or the breath rot attack he does to retreat, you have to immediately run while being on horse otherwise is almost impossible to not be hit by. He is an lag machine, the camera dies an lot while fighting him, you cant hit his head when you should because of the AWFUL terrain, gets stuck everywhere so he teleports a lot. Borealis for some reason dosent feel nowhere near as bad and never had difficulties with him even if its the same moveset.
