Would love to see more in depth tutorials on getting DosBOX, ScummVM, Windows, and other retro systems up here. Basically, would love some updated versions of all your old Launchbox tutorial videos! Great work!

Thank you for doing this. I've been out of the emulation loop for a while and this is so much easier than making config files, etc. Works like a charm.

New users wont appreciate how easy this is but let me tell you, this will save you SOOOO much work! For instance it took me hours figuring out how to make project 64 work with my wireless xbox controller. Things like this is what makes This a game changer! Especially for newer users.

I am in launchbox for years now... think since the beginning. Really best frontend and emulation solution ever!!!! Community is awesome and helps even with noob questions...

The retroarch integration is a game changer! You guys seem like magicians.

This is truly a great update of Launchbox. It's so much easier to add ROMs for computer games now, even my C64 titles are easy to set up with RetroArch integration.

love Launchbox! been using it for 3 weeks and can configure just about any emulator for a Windows PC. how amazing! the box art integration sold me... so many options and well organized, can't go wrong
  • Thank you SO SO Much!! I'm a noob to this whole ROM emulating myself and even I had ZERO problems thx to all the detailed step by step! This software is an absolute game changer, especially when most hard copy versions of games (Especially GameCube, etc.} can run for hundreds of dollars online and this software is totally FREE to use! Thanks!!! Highly recommended to other noobies like myself.

This might have convinced me to give LB a try. Some guys like tinkering with builds, but I just want to PLAY. 😝

I have a question about LaunchBox/RetroArch and since you have so many informative videos about it, I thought I'd ask you: What is the best way to handle using multiple, physically different controllers for each emulator? For example, I have a USB NES controller that I want to use to play NES games and a Genesis controller to play Sega. When I map the controls for these, the Auto-config is usually way off. When I finally get things how I like them (editing actual auto-config files and making sure it's recognizing right device), I have to change them again just to play another console because the mappings are so different on the platform-specific controller I'm going to use for that particular core/emulator. Any suggestions? Eventually I'd like to build my own cabinet and have the arcade controls to use for controlling the front end and then controllers to play consoles on. Is that possible or will I run into same issues I'm describing here?
  • Thank you, I was looking for PC alternative to the Dig Front End and here it is
  • Yes, true it looks very simple. I bought one of those ROM Dump Boxes from Amazon Months ago. I returned it. Not I am interested with trying again. I found this recommended video after a search on YouTube. This is video number one so you know. Now I need to find the best proper ROm folders and files to use Launchbox. Thank you so much for this video!

Okay that finally does it! Been liking Launchbox for some time now. The free version is actually all you need to get up and running but since I like to customize themes, I'll get their LB Bigbox regular license for 30 dollars.

Really awesome, configuring RetroArch has always been a pain point for me
  • since retroarch is integrated, what is the best way to tweak the settings (like scale, full screen, shaders etc)? is that done through LB or do you just open a game using the retroarch core and get into the retroarch menu from there and then away you go?
  • @GimmeEd
You guys fly through everything so fast and make it look so easy. I'm still having issues doing this for PS4/Windows games. It's not that simple for those types. I can't get most of my higher end games to work. Even having trouble with the PS3 games sometimes...I guess I'm still too new at this to know the tricks of the trade.
  • @demijebus6831
Thanks so much for this. Great video. Definitely interested in a more advanced version video.
  • @doriphor
Does the controller still lose pairing when you plug it in for a charge like the older Xbox One S controller used to do?

I use both LaunchBox and Attract Mode. LaunchBox is perfect for my family room machine, Attract Mode is for my arcade cab.
