  • Man I’ve given guitar lessons for decades and I love the way you connect the dots of things exactly on point. Relative minor, inverted chords, the F shape. The D minor7 and eminor 7 being the same as F and G, your love of Hendrix and simplified way of explaining these concepts. I totally get everything you were talking about but realized the way you connect the dots to minimize confusion. It’s easy to digress into other things when speaking about these concepts and you did a great job. Marty Swartz would be proud too I think. Thank you bro. Enjoyed it and learned how to teach things better watching this. 🤘

Understanding how Jimi worked the fretboard is like looking though a many-sided prism. I don't believe he was thinking of music theory when he was creating his sonic paintings, but this video helps decode what's going on. Love it.

Great Jimi lesson and how all the chord shapes you teach, hammer ons, chromatics, 6th and 3rd all come together for a Hendrix classic

When I practice I often "play" this song. This lesson gives my much to try to add. Thanks.

Thanks! Very helpful and clearly explained. I probably will never get it completely right, but trying is fun enough. Again, thank you so much.

Agree with the comments. My other favorite cover is Blue Suede Shoes on In the West.
