There is racism in DR, but the same happens in the USA, Europe and even Africa and Asia.

I mean, there are racist people everywhere you go. Are there racist Dominicans? sure, but so is the case for every country in the world. It's that simple folks, you just gotta live your life and try to avoid the negativity as much as you can.

We have historical territorial desputes with the Haitians, which has always been a problem and a threat to Dominican sovereignty. They've invaded us at least 17 times.

From my observations Dominicans and other hispanic countries people mention their nationality when asked what they are. In the United States is race first and in the middle east their obsession is religion.

Thank you for such a great program, great content and topic. Interesting to hear people testifying that we, Dominicans are Racist but none of them did not provided no even one valid argument to prove there opinions. That's pure ignorance. Thanks!

If the person is black from the Dominican Republic or from another place other the Haitians the Dominicans are not raisist, but if the person is Haitians many are.The Dominican Republic have had many problems with Haitians throughout history. HAITIANS invaded the Dominican republic and killed and abused many Dominican for a long time and people do not forget about that.

Existe una historia de agresión Haitiana hacia la soberanía del pueblo Dominicano por la cual existe ese antihaitianismo, NO RACISMO. DOCUMÉNTENSE POR FAVOR!!!!

Racism is a bit sensitive topic, but I guess in DR things are the same as everywhere - majority of people are not racists .. or they think so .. and some people are. The reasons for racism can be different - it comes from cultural background, personal experience or from a home upbringing .. and it's pretty difficult to get rid of it .. but on a personal level a big warm smile and a few nice words will always break the ice :))

I don’t think Dominicans are racist. You have racism all over. You have Haitian that are racist against Dominicans. I do think that Dominicans should protect there sovereignty. Because if it would have been the other way around like Dominicans flocking into Haiti o trust me they would have done the same
  • The Haitian occupation's suppression of Dominican culture (including the Spanish language and Catholic Religion), forceful expropriation of Dominican wealth to Haitian elites, and strict policies based on labor led to growing resentment that culminated in a Dominican movement for national independence
  • Los Dominicanos No SOMOS Los Racistas pero Ellos SIEMPRE lo l han Sido contra El DOMINICANO , 🇩🇴 ❣️💯
  • @Jimmy_none
Dios patria y libertad. Ain’t nobody dividing my Dominican people as long as I’m alive
  • @tavroaar8173
No Dominicans in majority are really friendly and humble people. There is definitely more classism and that hate towards Haitians is because they feel like Haitians are trying to take over their country , which Dominicans fought very hard for independence from Haiti.
