We’ve metal detected more colonial farms and fields over the years then I can ever try to remember. But of all the amazing places we’ve been and early coins we’ve found, no location has ever come close to this one!

Over the past several weeks we’ve been hunting these fields meticulously, slowly working our way through and moving over new sections each trip. We’ve broken every record I could think of and still counting. Over 15 coins from the 1600’s including 5 silver hammered coins so far. Over 40 large copper coins from the 1600’s-mid-1800s. Close to 200 buttons from military and civilian and several made centuries before America was even a country.

But last week as we hit yet another new part of the field w me stumbled across another amazing hotspot, tucked back near the creek where an old trading post mess likely sitting. We found another dozen large copper coins here including some scarce ones like a Virginia Halfpenny from 1773, a William and Mary halfpence from 1694, and dozens of others around the time the new country was founded. But then out of nowhere a total shocker that floored us all, an ancient Roman coin that from our research was made all the way back in the year 270AD! For a field that has given up so much so far, we can only imagine what might still be coming as we continue to push our way through!

  • That field has been absolutely mind blowing. You can probably do a whole video of just you guys sitting around a table going over everything that was found there over all the total trips..that would be something. Looking forward to seeing more, congratulations and good luck on the next hunt!!👍
  • Awesome hunt Jason. Super amazing finds like always, Cap Bust Matt, super score on that amazing Dime. All the best John

Got me a field like this. Every year I've lost 6"s to barley stubble and I'm not allowed on it once it's tilled. This year there was suger-beet. Crop lifted, flat plane: Bamm! Late Bronze Age ring money and an Iron Age terret ring first half day as well as coins. It's too wet to plough over here in UK so I'm a happy old swing-monkey.
  • Great finds. Keep digging those low signals Jason! That gold coin found at Digstock 9 came up a 71 on the deus2, which means on our legends, it would be closer to a 28-30.
  • “I don’t have the best luck”. After finding 2,000 year old coin.😂😂😂😂😂
  • I was just thinking about Lynn's nickname. I think "Lending a hand Lynn" works.😁 She is always there to help identify and support all of you.
  • My dark brown/black Midwestern soil that grows corn so well is so, so jealous of those farm fields right now. Plus...Old, American Silver in the hole, Gotta Love It!
