The chief of Greater Manchester Police has said he "profoundly regrets" the ‘shock and upset’ caused by the footage of an officer kicking and stamping on the head of a man at Manchester Airport.

It comes after several nights of protests were sparked by the incident, involving roads and tram lines being blocked in Manchester city centre.

Talk’s Peter Cardwell is joined by Centre for Migration Control’s Charlie Downes and former Labour adviser Matthew Laza to discuss the story.

What about the police officers hurt by these thugs? No one is talking about the woman officer who received a broken nose?
  • Why do we constantly try to appease these people? No wonder this country is doomed
  • @kelly6739
This has nothing to do with race. But they are milking it, as if it was
  • @Miclor54
If the officer gets done for giving a kick why are the people involved not charged with assaulting the police and causing bodily harm
  • @paulbriggs5238
The only thing I'm shocked and upset about is that the people who broke a police woman's nose haven't been charged
  • @bazwillrun
Only in this country can you assault 3 people, break a female officer's nose, and walk free with the arresting officer getting suspended.
  • @marnyburns3911
What about the police woman who was punched in the face and had her nose broken. That's absolutely shocking as well.

Where is the outrage over the police being attacked?? They are our people so we should be out protesting for them!!
  • @jacobcohen9205
These men need to be prosecuted for assaulting the police.
  • @stevewiles7132
Wait till the policewoman gets charged with attacking the blokes fist with her nose.
  • @jeanhealey5834
The officer is armed and cannot release his gun under any circumstances, so how is he going to manage head locks or anything else?
  • @christiner302
Yes, why don't we have British people instead of "communities".
  • @cloudfive53
We want to know who attacked the police. They were having to deal with uncooperative and aggresive people in an airport and had to act quickly.
  • The only things that upset me about the Manchester event is that that officer defending our nation was not given a medal and that that poor innocent native British woman had her nose broken by a terrorist
  • @colin25250
If the police had done this to a Scot or a welshman we would not have seen a 'community' of Scots or Welsh invading a police station. We have imported Muslim and Pakistani people who react as they would in Pakistan - but they wouldn't have done this if it had happened in an Arab country as they probably would have been shot!!!! We are being stupid to allow this!!!!!
  • @karenrussell2917
If that policeman had been protecting the king or anyone of the royal family from this idiot,he wouldn't have been suspended he would have been given a medal.
  • @TEL250r
We need to stop fussy footing around Muslims it's a Christian country and they need to respect that
  • So lets get this right, this all started because they said don't touch their mother because she's a woman... but its ok for them to punch a woman straight in the face breaking her nose? They sort of bend the rules to how they see fit don't they?🤔
