  • It was kinda cute when he said “whatever bite-sized is for you family”. He thinks I’m gonna save some for my family.

Easiest fudge I've ever made. I'm paused at 9:12 and mine is already cooling on the counter. You instill me with so much confidence and I've rediscovered my love of cooking and baking for my loved ones through your channel. Thank you so much for bringing that spark back into my life. Compliments from my friends and family as well, they're all big fans of the food you're teaching me to make. lol

I've been making this kind of fudge for quite a while. For Christmas, I sprinkle with crushed candy canes or sub some of the chocolate with Andes Mints. Delish. Peanut butter 'fudge' is awesome. Especially when you take a bite of it with a bite of the plain fudge. Like a Reese Cup.

"I can't eat this by the spoonful" me: laughing me: laughing with big spoon me: laughing with fudge all over my face
  • I love the fact that you talk about the quality of the utensils. It can make a huge difference and that is why some people think that no matter what they do, they are rubbish at cooking or baking. Also you are adorable, your husband and kids are so lucky to have you!

When I was in the Air Force a young Lt shared her recipe for this fudge, but she rolled them into “bite size” balls and then rolled them in crushed walnuts, coconut, or powdered sugar...they were delicious! Thanks Madelana!

I have been using this basic recipe for years. I add a bit more chocolate (14-16oz instead of 12oz) cuz I add a bit of liquor (Amaretto, Irish Cream, Grand Marnier, etc) and its always been a big hit at family gatherings and holiday work parties.

I make this fudge often, and I found a cool trick. After you make the fudge, put 150 g of milk or 175 g of water in the still fudge coated pot, and heat on medium while stirring. It makes the pot much easier to clean, and you get hot chocolate! For added simplicity and sweetened condensed milk flavour, I pour it in the condensed milk cans.
  • John, there’s absolutely no way anyone could help but love you! You are so funny, and your recipes are THE best! My love to you and your beautiful family.

Adulthood doesn’t begin until you invest in good quality pots.

I love how genuine silly this guy is... he’s adorable

I always make this at Christmas. You can simplify it, and avoid problems with burnt chocolate by microwaving the milk in a large bowl. Get the milk really hot, and then stir in the chocolate. Let the hot milk melt the chocolate, then add in any extras and stir well. Pour into a prepared pan and continue on as in your demonstration. I’m so glad you showed this recipe because I think it is superior to the old fashioned cocoa and milk or even marshmallow recipes...no crystallization to worry about! I love your channel! PS...don’t be tempted to melt the chocolate with the milk, as the microwave will burn chocolate very quickly.

My mom found this recipe in 1980. She made it for Christmas that year (she added walnuts) and everyone LOVED it. I still make it. It's foolproof, so easy and YUMMY!
  • I love how excited he is about baking. We need to protect this man at all costs.
  • @mbcdmom0255
I love how you give details of the measurements. You made it easy for me, a newbie in baking and making sweets.

Stumbled on this and I absolutely love your calm way of teaching. Best teacher! plus Dark Crystal was a childhood fave here too!
