Seeing encounters like this is why I get sooo pissed off at people who needlessly escalate simple traffic stops.

Cops are in a grassy field waving around flashlights while the rifle guy has higher ground and vehicle cover, not good.

at that distance, and suspect being prone he has a major advantage over those officers standing with handguns. If he was even remotely good with that rifle he would have dropped several of them, thankfully not of course.

This officer is lucky to be alive. The moment he said the light is still flashing at them I was like: REPOSITON!! x3 and a moment later comes bullets straight in his direction. Insane.

A 7 hour standoff for taking him into custody ........NUTS, a sharp shooter would have solved this issue in a far lesser time and would have saved tax payers a lot of money.

I never understand why they never get their carbines out of their patrol cars.

That far away using a handgun isn’t the best choice for point accuracy, more of an area target . Very lucky officers.
