Find the Curve

Published 2018-08-18
Yes, bill woehl says that there's no curve visible on the horizon out the window of Mannekin Skywalker's Blue Origin spacecraft launched last April,    • Mannequin Skywalker’s ride to space o...  . He's the only one who can't see it. You see, he tries to make people believe the Earth is flat.

So here I show anyone how to use image scaling to see if the horizon has any curvature to it. Simply put, you copy the video frame to an image editor that lets you rescale the photo. Unlink width and height so you can shrink the width while keeping height unchanged. Go to about 1/3 or 1/4 width and you will immediately see any curvature, OR the lack of it.

In this case, the curvature that was already unmistakable in the original photo is absolutely confirmed in the transformed version of the photo and Earth's curvature is plainly visible from a height of 63 miles.

Thanks Bill for the opportunity to prove what's true and who isn't!

Another way, for smart phone users, is to pause @ the beginning & screen-shot. Then crop to isolate the image of discussion. Once isolated, use crop function again and bring top margin down to where it begins to contact center of horizon. You will clearly see horizon curving down at each end.

Now you have got to ask yourself WHY YOU HAVE A CURVE because on a globe there would NOT BE ONE. We do not live on a tube.
