- 3 pieces chicken quarters, cut into serving pieces
- salt and ground black pepper, to taste
- cooking oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sweet dark soy sauce
- 2 cups sprite or 7up
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- chili flakes
