Kamala Harris' Pro-Reproductive Rights Stance Is Clear

During her time as vice president, Kamala Harris has been incredibly outspoken about abortion rights, and — should she be the nominee for the Democratic Party following next month’s convention — she would likely elevate the issue of reproductive freedom in this election.

While Pres. Joe Biden was certainly opposed to the overturning of Roe v. Wade, in 2023 he said that he is ‘not big on abortion,’ being a practicing Catholic.

Harris, however, has adopted a much stronger pro-reproductive freedom stance, traveling around the country on what the White House called a ‘reproductive freedoms tour’ to warn about the harms of red state abortion bans. While on the tour, she even stopped at a Planned Parenthood clinic, making her the first vice president known to visit one.
