For anyone wondering what his hand signals were for @11:19, that’s for battle damage checks. Each pilot will fly to each side, and underneath to visually inspect the other aircraft for any damage as a safety precaution. His wingman checked his plane, then they switched and he inspected his wingman’s plane.

This is amazing. I'm so happy the Air Force is giving you permission to record and share these. I hope it helps recruitment!
  • I love how he is so calm and casual in his narration of the time his jet lost fuel over the Pacific as he flew hundreds of feet from the mountainsides. Nerves of steel.

As a Vietnam Veteran '65-'69 I want to thank you and making this tape. I hope all the young wannabes out there watched this. What an opportunity the young men and women have today. To protect our country is an honor.
  • This kind of video will make kids flood the Air Force Academy and Airclubs. Once you've seen a video like this, with the Fighter Pilot being so humble and encouraging, it is hard to believe you can go through LIFE doing some other thing, another job THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS for amazingly BEAUTIFUL flight.

9:20 "The low level environment is definitely a not regime where you want to be doing other things...". He says, as he's casually narrating away like he's sitting at a picnic table with a hot dog in one hand and a beer in the other... Amazing multi-tasking skills.

I was Class 71-01 at Laredo. Finished sixth and since the two fighter slots were gone, I picked the O-2 to be a FAC. Flew 300 combat missions and then became a T-37 IP. Have not flown now in something like 40 years and videos like this bring it all back. I genuinely miss the turn and burn.

Genuinely the best fighter-related video I’ve seen. It’s simple, but all the important flight data is in there. Clean look, high quality. THIS is what youtube is made for. I always wanted to become a fighter pilot growing up, scored high grades in middle school, went to the gym, had great health, and I even did some breathing-technique sessions, watching fighter videos, where you could see the g-forces on screen, and tried to keep up the right breathing-technique throughout the video. Did the same when playing FSX and WarThunder, and eventually got the technique down. Then, at age 16, right before I was supposed to enter highschool, I had a massive seizure and broke my left shoulder, and got diagnosed with epilepsy (which rules out any chance of me getting any sort of piloting license). All dreams thrown right in the bin. Everything I’ve worked for, now useless. That’s why I praise these videos, because this is as close as I’ll ever get to that dream. Thank you for this, and I hope you keep on posting these sort of videos. It truly makes my day.❤ Best regards Isak (20yo)

This guy is just flying around in an F16 having a frank chat about life. Loving this, this is where you want to share this with kids matter what their current lives entail, it’s a case of them getting to know that if they can overcome their current situations they can do cool stuff life this. Don’t stop dreaming! You’re dreams keep you alive.

Here in Wisconsin, I used to have the C-130’s doing low flying over my property. I absolutely love it. I’m sad they don’t do it anymore. Being a former Marine, I painted “USMC” on the roof of one of my buildings (I own an old mink ranch and 30 acres). They flew so low they would rock the wings at times when I was waving! Very very cool!!!!

I've been a dad for four and a half years now, and my appreciation for these guys not flying too low over residential areas if they don't have to, has increased to a whole new level. It's a hard thing when you finally get your six month old to sleep and they get jolted awake by some loud noise you can't control.
  • Being a native Las Vegan, every time I hear you guys over head, I stop & say thanks. Thanks for what you guys provide us. Not everyone below is unaware. ✌🇺🇲

I could never imagine being annoyed at fighter jets flying over lol. That makes me want to move there! Great stuff

Great footage and good advice for anyone who wants to be a pilot. My cousin was a Squadron leader in the UK RAF until he retired. He now works in commercial aviation.

I wanted to be a fighter pilot since I was a child… I regret not going for it. I became a private pilot… not quite the same tho, is it. Amazing video! So much admiration for all you military pilots out there! ❤

Crazy talented flying here. As a retired CAF F18 pilot I find myself wondering if maybe Tom Cruise should've asked Justin to fly some scenes instead of old man retired Frank and Hasard agrees lol Walleye was incredible back in the day and still is. These young guns like Hasard sure are impressive tho. I found myself shifting in my chair as if I was flying watching this footage lol #Impressive

Great Video. Loved your book "The Art of Clear Thinking" and have shared it with many I'm mentoring . My first low level flight in west Texas my back seat instructor said I was too aggressive. I said we were well above treetop level, and he said those weren't trees, that was sage brush. I was below 100 feet for the entire run. Most of my class were "Zoomies". I was one of an handful who were not. Everyone wanted a fighter slot. Only two got one, the class leader whose father was a general and the other to my roommate who married a wing commanders daughter. I got the only tactical C-130 which disappointed me until several missions would have made great movie fodder if tales could be told. Most got tankers, bombers, and FAC slots flying aluminum speedbrakes. Lessons learned have provided me a lifetime of rewarding opportunities. I only realized in my late 70"s why I was repeatedly placed in leadership positions while desperately trying to back fill technical gaps. It's not what you know. It's the ability to see clearly, be present and execute. There is little in life requiring more presence than flying 600+ mph 18 inches (sometimes less) from another aircraft. You're not going to worry if you have enough quarters for the laundromat.
  • 1st glance at me being a African American 42 year old who was raised in low and middle class communities. I was always into aviation military especially. I was always watching Wings and Wings of the Red Star on the Discovery channel. Born and raised in Hampton Va home of the FF 1st fighter Wing at Langley, I remember when the Gulf War started . The 1st aircraft that I seen deployed was the F-117s and C-5 galaxy and C 121 Star Lifters. And the F-15s from the 71st Hat in the Ring. Anyways,it don't matter what race, culture or background your from to be successful in life. Be the judge and jury of your destiny and deal with people with EQUALITY. PEACE TO ALL AVIATORS WHO LOVE FLIGHT. I CAN HEAR THE RAPTORS NOW IN THERE FLIGHT PATTERNS TAKING OFF FROM LANGLEY.
  • Much respect. I have such an admiration & respect for these machines. I’m blessed to drive some amazing machines myself but this is another league no doubt. The training, professionalism, and confidence exude off of the video. As a new dad to 2 boys, I just wanna say, great work, you’re incredible loved by someone out there, and thank you for serving our country! We appreciate you!

Absolutely beautiful. Loved this. The way that second viper drifted into the shot gave me goosebumps. So awesome
