Since I've gotten multiple comments about it. Yes, i do use the partners on the overworld. That's what i meant by, i use them for "overworld activities". That is the same reason i included the rule to not pick up items that require the use of partners to reach. This way, i can continue through the game, but not benefit from the use of partners. The challenge is more about seeing if Mario can defeat every enemy on the game completely by himself. Sorry for any confusion haha.

The line Grubba uses for when Mario is alone is used when a partner eats the second cake, which is poisoned. They are knocked out for one fight 12:00

12:00 I'm pretty sure Mario can be alone in the Glitz Pit fights if you get a cake in the locker room as a present from a "fan" your partner can eat it and get knocked out. This will force your next fight to make you fight with only Mario which is why Grubba will comment on it.

Seeing some of the comments under this video make me genuinely confused how people can so quickly forget what you said regarding the rules in the beginning of the video. I know attention spans have always been short, but it's honestly impressive.
