My brother disrespected my Mother one day, when she told him to change his clothes & put on his play clothes, he responded “you didn’t pay for them, my Dad did” she flipped him over the table & gave him a black eye, while beating him. Fast forward, She never had another problem from him & today he is Married with children, an Architect!

my son is 19.. and in his 19 years of living, i’ve probably had to put hands on him a number of times.. i would say four or five times max.. they were warranted times… i can remember three… one, he was about 6 yrs old.. he talked back to an adult when he shouldn’t have, i popped him in the mouth… and later explained why i did it.. two, he was about 3 yrs old we were at a bus stop on a busy major street and he tried to run out in the street.. i snatched him up very fast and popped him twice on the behind.. scolded him about it… third, was in his teens, this is where the acceptance and the clicks and gangs come into play for most of our youth.. i got wind of it, and had to give him a tune up while letting him know “hey, you wanna be a part of a gang, you gotta go through me first.. i’m the toughest person you know! i’m the biggest gang member you know!” … for the most part, the talks worked.. i believe children comprehend well when you keep it honest and open with them.. no soft shxt… give them the real… there’s always a level of respect given… i haven’t had many problem with my kid, he’s intelligent and always been in sports… just started his sophomore year of college..

Growing up, my mom would make my siblings and I go get the switch to beat us with and if we brought back a small switch, she would beat us extraly hard! Though my dad never hit me but made me do push ups as punishment, I'd much rather take a beaten from him instead of my mom because along with the beating, she would be talking trash to you as she would be wipping your @$$!

I was in the military. I was deployed to Iraq in 2010; six months. My son was a running back in high school had nice size on him too; muscular kid. My wIfe is 5 feet tall about 145 lbs. I would call every night before I went to sleep -talk a few minutes. I call one night; it’s chaos! My son is in the background “Dad; she blacked my eye!…she went nuts!!!” They’re yelling and screaming. Wife says “Call back in five minutes..I’m putting him out tonight!” I called back - it’s quiet. She kicked him out - he went next door to our neighbor to sleep. She’s as calm as can be. Tells me “your son was disrespectful; he mouthed off so I served him!” She tells me she told him not to forget to take out the trash and load the dishwasher. He goes “You do it; I’n tired!” Now; our son was a good kid (He’s a grown man now) never had issues but they all test…he tried me and I put him in a full Nelson until tapped out. But I digress; you have to let your kids know! Especially when they start getting size in them. My wife is a scrapper always has been. He said she was on him so fast he thought two people were in the room! 😂😂😂

When my son was in grade school, he kept cutting up in school so I had to spank him. Only with my hand. That was the only time I ever hit him. He did well from that moment moving forward. He’s a successful teacher now, traveling the world, preparing to marry his gf.

My brothers 9 y/o son was a piece of work. Totally out of control. One day he wanted smores. So we go to the back yard to start a wood fire. My brother was doing it wrong. I showed him how to start the fire. His son goes "omg daddy. How stupid can you be?! Your so dumb." I'm waiting for my brother to smack him upside the head.....nothing. just this look of defeat on his face. So I go "who you talking to like that?! Apologize to your pops!" He yells "NO!" then goes to the kitchen to get the marshmallows and graham crackers. While my brother is messing with the fire I follow my nephew into the kitchen. I tell him "when you go outside your going to apologize to your pops or I'm gonna fucc you up right here. You gonna apologize?" He yells "I SAID NO!" I grabbed him by his shirt, drag him to the couch while he's kicking and trying to fight back. Take off my Ralph Lauren belt and I go to work on him for about 3 minutes. then made him go apologize to his dad which he did. Broke my heart to have to do that to my nephew. He hated me for a while. Eventually he got over it. He's 20 now and we even laugh about it. And he has a great relationship with his dad. You have to teach kids, especially boys, rules and parameters. Because if they have to learn it the hard way in the streets they'll either end up in jail or worse...
