“I’m sorry I don’t speak English” “So you admit to intentionally making a multimillion dollar hoax” (Super confused) “Yes? “ “It’s a confession get her”

I do find it interesting that so many people bring up "But Heene is an asshole", as if that changes anything. So what if he is? You can still be an unpleasant person and also NOT guilty of a crime you're being accused of.

I just want to say how nice it was that the woman from Wife Swap went on national television to defend Richard. Most people would portray Richard in the worst light possible for the attention, but she gave her honest impression of him and his children.

This isn't even a meme. This is an actual investigation. Incredible.

They’ve now pardoned the parents, but the messed up thing is they didn’t admit to how they scared the parents into a guilty plea or that the conviction was wrong. The judge just said “it’s time to move on” without admitting it was a false conviction, so legally they are pardoned but their reputation will still forever be tarnished because of a messed up justice system

There's also the fact that when Falcon says that thing about the show, his parents don't panic. You'd think that if it was actually a hoax, they'd at least react in some way or another to their masterplan being exposed.
  • Media lying? Police threatening the guy? A corrupt politician? Sounds pretty normal tbh.
  • @FatrickAteman
they were threatening to deport his wife if he didn't plead guilty? that sounds pretty fucking evil

Imagine how shit the kid felt/feels. One little spoken mishap and you spelled doomed for your family.

This story is actually rather upsetting. I feel bad for the family. The damage done by the media can't be undone.

So apparently the Heene family had to pay that 36k fine and go to jail, not because any evidence was found against them, but because the police basicly threatened them and blackmailed them into pleading guilty? Thumps up to the justice system.

My wife just realized why falcon ran and hid. His dad is losing his shit. Screaming, cursing. it makes sense that he would get away from that. And after when they were screaming his name looking for him, he thought that maybe he was in trouble.... case solved.
  • 5:43 both parents pause and simultaneously scream in horror: “WHAT” when their son tells them his brother is in the balloon. That is definitely not something that you can just act and get it right on a first take. Those were the voices of two parents that we’re about to pass out

This is actually really sad. One little misunderstanding from the guys kid caused his world to be grabbed and thrown upside down. Everyone was against him, trying to fuck him over, getting him to confess. I believed it all too. Fek man

I'm REALLY liking this redemption arc. This might become my favorite American anime.

Showed this to my dad he thought the whole thing was a dumb hoax then he saw the clip of the guy freaking out about the balloon being let go and my dad said " that man is really mad he isn't acting "
