Honestly thought this perk did nothing unless you were damaging a vehicle or construct

Im kinda spreading this info whereever I can, but edge transit also works with deconstruct. Its technically not infinite ammo because it usually takes 2-3 shots to proc for 1 extra ammo, but something like triple tap on a heavy grenade launcher is in my opinion, pretty good. Especially when it does 40% extra damage to some of the more annoying things in the game like shanks, brigs, and shriekers.

This is literally how the trait works on every other weapon, there's no reason that this wouldn't be intended. If they didnt want it to work this way, they would've left it as is or patched the direct hits = infinite ammo

I have a roll with ambitious assassin and deconstruct and it's so fun because i pretty much have infinite add clear as long as i have ammo. ambitious allows me to be "forgiving" for those instances where you don't hit the 3 enemies for whatever reason and keep spamming on the next group without reloading

I have a slice/deconstruct tusk...went to loot cave in Grasp, and knocked out the mountaintop weapon quest in no time flat...it works great

I was using it with a High Explosive Ordnance on the Edge Transit and if you direct hit and can hit an enemy or two with the AoE (Chain Reaction delayed explosion counts too) you will get your ammo back for infinite ammo. What's even more odd is I found if I direct hit with the first shot and don't proc Deconstruct but shoot another and direct hit them with the AoE hitting multiple enemies (both times if possible), for whatever reason it gives 2 rounds back. Needless to say Deconstruct with explosive weapons is going to be something to look out for on weapons going forward (assuming Bungie doesn't change anything).

Internal cooldown on the ammo return seems like the most likely fix, even if that hampers the fun of the loop. Maybe upping the target threshold to 5 is a good balance, idk. Either way, having a ton of fun with my slideways/decon roll!

This sounds great for running double special. You could use this and a trace rifle to be able to use Cenotaph on Onslaught without limiting your add-clear options. I think the most likely nerf, if it happens to get one eventually, is that it starts taking ammo from reserves when it's on a cooldown, which would make it a terrible perk on a wave frame because you aren't meant to spam all your reserves in three seconds. For now this perk brings a new playstyle for wave frames which is really cool, it's almost like you are running around with a flamethrower.

Finding this late, I found a Slideshot Deconstruct roll in my vault. Time to go test it out with unraveling rounds 🎉

I have a envious assassin and deconstruct roll i might give a whirl lol. I also got descontruct with envisious assassion and cascade on a shiny edge transit. Activate envious twice to get to 18 in a mag, switch to cascade on the weapon, get a kill on a trash ad then light a boss up. I personally think this is better than bait and switch because no need to fumble through all my weapons and it basically works like triple tap. Every 3 round i hit i get 1 back for free. Better ammo economy yay!

I have it, but I still like my slideshot + hatchling more
