Hey there thanks for stopping by to see this incredibly long video! Ha... I know you all say you don't mind long videos so here's another! We'll cover everything in two parts, and this video is the first. We go over setting up a reference image, modeling the bottle, creating the materials, setting up textures, AND lighting. The next part will cover animation.

Finally, someone who doesn't blaze through quietly at 30x speed with lightning fast keystrokes. Context is important and you've definitely solidified the process of explaining what AND WHY you do what you do! It's definitely a process that you can pick up and learn from. Top tier content!

What is by far the hardest part in learning Blender and becoming an artist? I suppose finding the right guys at the sheer internet wilderness, from whom you can learn something. Like this fine professor Derek Elliot, or should I say pedagogue. You are bookmarked at my top ten forever. Thank you very much for this terrific presentation, as well the guys at Blender Daily, who send me the link. The second part, especially the lighting is a masterpiece at its own.

Derek, this lesson is perfect for anyone who's already experienced in 3D and is trying to migrate to Blender. Got me from almost zero Blender knowledge to producing a professional level image in just a few hours...This new Blender is nothing short of amazing. It's unbelievable it's free. (Migrating from MODO here, mostly working with Industrial Design and product visualization).

Little tip when adding a camera : blender adds the camera looking in the direction where you are looking in the viewport (kinda like the "image to plane" part). So if you don't wanna struggle setting up the camera by changing all the location and rotation values, just go in front view, add the camera, then just bring it back and up to get in front of your subject. Hope this helps ! Thank you Derrek for all your ressources <3
