I love that Chris has helped me realize that my car is not as scary to understand like some impossible math equation that I thought it was. Saving me tons of money and I'm finally learning about my car and how it works lol.

Been stupidly depressed and anti social. Never thought car videos would cheer me up. I think Chris’s happy attitude and love for what he’s doing is why he’s such a great teacher

This video is a masterclass in making a YouTube video. The contest is almost irrelevant. It's Chris's awesome attitude and personality, and the way he delivers the content that grabs you, holds your attention, gives you hope that you are fully capable of doing a dreaded task all by yourself, and gifts you the skills to get it done. I am a medium-to-advanced DIYer and I never stop learning something from Chris. Thank you!
  • It's strange that 25k people would thumbs down for a gentleman providing a cleaning tutorial. That's bloody barmy
  • @6mt_lifestyle803
I love how his videos are timeless, it doesn't seem like this video is 3 years old at all
  • @phoenixquest2315
Most positive engine cleaning video, I have ever seen. 6 years later watching this, and loved the energy you demonstrated in this video, well done!
  • @yusufsyed2768
The absoloute greatest mechanic YouTuber to exist. 5 years later still the most informative and captivating video and tutorial.
  • @cheepasskid
Dude your work ethic and the way you break down problems into smaller jobs is truly amazing. Inspirational. Not gonna lie

My friend's do not understand why I spend so much time fixing and cleaning my 289,000 mile 1999 Honda Odyssey EX mini-van. I tell them, "Because Chris Fix is teaching me how to make the damn thing last forever". You're one hell of a good mechanic and I appreciate all of your vids. Thank you.
  • @TexanMechanicus
I'm building out my garage so that I can work on my car more effectively thanks to you and Cleetus. Thanks for everything you do, Chris. You're a national treasure.
  • @dshinpv
Chrisfix is like the Bill Nye of car maintenance. Makes it easy to understand the complex things and I love being watching your videos and picking out what I want to work on next.

I can’t believe that you’re still replying to comments to a three year old video. I really like how you’re positive btw
  • @franktrinh1972

  • @smft9147
Crazy that he still responds so so many comments 50M views and 6 years later. You’re a King Chris 👑
  • @BlackNova117
Some dude mentioned you as a meme in a vid called something like "car culture changed 2012-2022", now I cant stop watching your vids, they are truly a holly grail for us beginners and vets for what I can see, cheers.
  • @Teacher5000
I some how stumbled across this video, when I wasn't even looking to clean my engine bay. I ended up watching basically every video you have. Even without needing to do anything on my vehicle. There is just so much time, effort, and instruction in every single video. You earned a sub from the most non-car person on the planet.
  • Just realized how satisfying it is to watch other people cleaning stuff.
  • @danicai
One of the best tutorial I have ever seen. Organized, deep, detailed, right to the point and well explained.
