Who doesn't love a good shrimp pasta recipe with lots of garlic, wine , butter? Who says you have to go out to dinner for this dish? Now you can make this at home.

This seafood dish is so simple and easy to make, you'll wonder why you haven't made it before!

Some people have asked me if you can substitute the wine for something else like chicken broth. I don't recommend it, as I think it's the wine along with everything else (butter, garlic, lemon, parsley, onion) that really makes this dish.

== Ingredients ==
- 16 large shrimp
- olive oil
- 3/4 cup white wine
- 5 to 6 cloves of garlic, finely, finely minced
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 cup or more of fresh chopped parsley
- 1 green onion thinly sliced
- 1/2 lemon juiced
- salt to taste
- 6 oz. of Pasta, cooked

== Directions ==
Defrost and remove the shell from the shrimp. Devein it if you need to. Heat your frying pan over medium heat, add some olive oil (about a tablespoon or so) and butter. When the butter has melted and is bubbling, add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the shrimp to the pan as well as the onion and wine. Next add the lemon juice and the parsley. Turn over the shrimp as it turns pink. Shrimp should only take about 5 to 6 minutes to cook.

Serve over pasta or rice for dinner. Add a nice salad with some good french bread and dinner will be amazing. Oh and don't forget a nice glass of wine. It's amazingly good.

    Congratulations to your Mom and Dad on 50 years! That's awesome. I'm honored that you made my recipe for their special celebration. Thanks for sharing!
  • The shrimps should be seared off on a hot pan. Hot pan, olive oil, garlic, and sear off the shrimp to give it good caramelization. Once they are seared off on both sides, (turn only once) deglaze the pan with white wine, so all of those flavour embedded in the pan can be lifted off and be infused to the sauce. Then you add your butter and lemon juice, adding freshly cracked pepper and freshly chopped parsley. Without the caremelization of shrimp, the sauce won't develop sufficient rich flavour.
