I met Steve Perry a longtime ago in an elevator in San Francisco. I was 19, tried to remain calm, and said to him that I loved his music and he replied, that he loved the Mrs. Fields chocolate chip cookie I was eating. So I shared one with him! He thanked me and walked out of the elevator. My friend and I screamed so loud and jumped up and down when the elevator doors closed….I’m sure he heard us! One of the highlights of my existence! I’m 60 now and still love his music. Part of the soundtrack of my life✨💖

I don’t think he realizes how treasured he is.

Steve Perry was Journey. No one could ever replace him.
  • He seems like the sweetest, most sincere person. Total opposite of what you think of when you think of a typical rock star. ⭐ 💜

Good for him. Walked away on his own because he lost his passion for music. He could have kept playing songs and making millions but it didn't make him happy. You gotta respect that. It's human.

We must protect this man at all costs and cherish that this legend is still with us. We lost too many amazing talents. Let’s appreciate this man 💙💙💙

What an amazing, down-to-earth, humble, unpretentious, laid back, unassuming, modest and genuine guy Steve is. The well-deserved fame never went to his head and he remembers, both literally and figuratively, where he came from. His kind of attitude and character is sorely missing in today's celebrities. They would do well to learn from his admirable example.

Probably one of the only artists I would go out of my way to see in concert.

Steve Perry has the most amazing voice, and I was devestated when he left Journey. I am so sad that he lost his love to cancer. Success and money do not fill your heart and soul, but I hope he realizes just how much his fans love and miss his music which gave us so much joy and memories. No one will ever match your talent. Love to you!
