  • Would love to see an episode where you guys get this beast running again
  • @robklunder2700
Need to get a big piece of plate steel for a skid, and put the dozer on it to drag out. We do that for tracked vehicles at the steel mill. Getting the tracked vehicles from one end of the plant to the other would take for ever. Put the tracked vehicle on the plate steel skid and drag it with a big loader. Always look forward to your videos.

I feel like I imagined this kind of stuff when I was seven years old in my sandbox. Incredible to see the weight and power these machines are capable of.
  • Hey! Not just guys who enjoy these videos! I am an elderly woman, I always helped my husband with work, commercial shrimping with 55ft and 65 ft boats, way out in the Gulf of Mexico, NOT for the faint of heart...always having to fix something, his hobby of repairing old vehicles, etc. I am really enjoying his "never give up "attitude" and the fact that in spite of what he's doing is dangerous, he's very careful, and no one gets hurt!
  • I was so glad you used the words about leaving the road better then when you come there. That the size of a good business man and friend to everyone. It what neighbours are for .
  • Between you guys and Matt's Off Road Recovery I spend entirely to much of what little spare time I have on YouTube. Love these recoveries!
  • @Wyogoose
Just a thought. On recoveries as this, one could make a sled out of plate steel. The friction coefficient would be reduced and the trip out would repair the road rather than damaging it.
  • @HickSquatch
And very cool to make a point to explain the need to be responsible and respectful and put things back like it was, not just tearing stuff up and leaving it. 👍💪♥️🙏
  • Where neighbors still helping neighbors and the fellow man... the old American way, needs to get back to the simple life... looking forward to next vid... awesome job as usual guys!
  • @OndreaS123
When I saw you fixing the winch cable it reminded me of one thing my dad(a safety engineer) taught me. Those saddle clamps on the winch cable will slip if not installed properly, and the way he taught me was the phrase "you never saddle a dead horse"... the saddle part always goes on the live side of the cable & the U-bolt goes on the cut end. he had seen & reviewed cases that had slipped causing major accidents. great job on the recovery.
  • Seems like HeavyD doesnt meet a stranger. Awesome that heavy equip folks are helpful to each other.

"we'll do one pass and leave the road in a better condition than we found it." I would have liked to see the final state you left the road in.
  • @ricktheman007
Love watching these huge machines. Started with you guys on TV working your diesel magic. Can't seem to get enough.
  • I'm a licensed heavy duty, off road, automotive, truck and trailer mechanic. I would clean it first and slowly and carefully inspect all engine. hydraulic mechanisms first. Drain all fluids, and start from there. It would be a lot of work, however, I truly believe you can get things running. Good luck and Thank you for the video
