"I don't have memories in English" is an interesting insight
  • @mrwakacorp
What he said about language and speaking your mother tongue is so insightful.
  • No country for Old men was one of the most intense movies ever, It's a masterpiece
  • @Reevnar
I'm glad Javier takes the time to explain things instead of giving one word answers.

I met him in Brisbane when he was filming for pirates of the Caribbean. I was working at a burger chain called Grilld and he sat outside and had his friend order. I asked if he would let me have a picture with him if he had some time. He was very friendly and made some jokes (no no that is my brother not me), I delivered his food later on and let him be not wanting to bother him.

After finishing he came and waved his hand at me and asked if I would still like the photo before he left. Got a great pic and a great memory as a young hospo worker.

    Top guy.

He seems like such a genuinely nice guy, but if he called me Friendo, I'd immediately buy a plane ticket to the other side of the planet.
  • You can tell how humble he is by just looking how he keeps holding those paper stripes, not throwing them around with those overly dramatic gestures that all other actors do. And he says "thank you" almost every time he takes the list of questions

1:11 as a non native english.. that's literally the most perfect thing to say about how we feel when expressing in english
  • @NSN749
He has so much charisma! He seems incredibly likable.

Stilgar is so different than what Anton Chigurh is... Like miles difference you can't even noticed it's Javier Bardem. He is an incredible actor

Very likable guy and an awesome actor!
  • @acook213
I love that he learned English by listening to AC/DC 😂
  • There's a clip of Javier at a press conference where a reporter asks what it's like to be the only man in the world who enjoys working with his wife. Javier graciously smiles, looks at the reporter, and replies: "The question is in tremendously poor taste."

That same grace and gratitude, his respect and deference to the directors and actors he works with, shines through in this interview. Props to a real one.

he can turn the most mundane question into an engaging narrative this man is a treasure.
  • @PuppetierMaster
This man lives rent free in my mind with his 15 minute walkable city. This man has never felt the pain of adding one more lane to the highway. Brillant thank you Javier Bardem
  • Often times the sweetest people will play the best villains, and I absolutely think that Javier Bardem is one of these people! He is so sweet, soft spoken and nice. Absolutely love him in everything he plays and love hear him chat about his history/life!
  • @louriga
I guess the rest of the world only knows the films where he speaks English, but if you saw “Mar adentro “or “Antes que anochezca “ you would realize the talent he has.

Javier is such a beautiful and charismatic person, and with his role in No Country For Old Men, I was absolutely blown away to discover he was Spanish.
Gracias España, por Javier Bardem 🇪🇸
