“The MRI machine is their biggest opponent”😂1

They do realize the play in teams were like 2 games back from 5-6 the 11th seed in the west last year was a .500 team or forgot this is ESPN these are surface level conversations

Lakers need bigs. No big man in the league has to give you 30pts and be the best defender besides AD. Get D Howard from China or B Lopez and they’re an easy contender
  • I remember windy said this when pg and kwahi joined the clippers😂

Dude in blue is a straight Lakers hater

I respect how hard it is to win enough, to not say it will be multiple’ windy just shutting them and they predictions down and being realistic.. love it.
  • I don’t understand the media’s outlook on the Lakers. Denver is the only bad match up for that team. They just got significantly worse with the departure of KCP. We saw what losing Bruce Brown did last year. I think the West is a pick’em this year.

Klay is a major liability defensively. Hope the Mavs plan to bring him off the bench
  • I just don’t get why everyone thinks the Lakers are a play in team with its current roster. They are essentially adding in a healthy Gabe Vincent and Vanderbilt (best defender) back into the lineup. Not to mention they won’t be handicapped by Darvin Ham’s decision making. Media needs to chill.

KD, Kyrie, Kawhi, Paul George, Joel Embiid, Luka, Ja, Zion, KAT, Donovan Mitchell, Dame, James Harden......oh, hey, don't mind me, just naming all the guys who haven't won a chip since LeBron and the Lakers last won one, shall I keep counting?

The Celtics will win 1 more Title before Tatum's deal expires. The biggest threat to the Celtics is themselves with health and complacency. Yes the Lakers missed out on Klay Thompson but GSW could've traded Klay there but chose not to.
  • Look at how the narrative of the Celtics has flipped so quickly😂😂

Last time I checked the Mavs have 1 championship, the Lakers have 17

Fir the fill in the blank... remember last year when people were saying the Nuggets were primed for a dynasty?

"They've been mostly a play-in team since the play-in was created" That's funny, because the play-in has been around for 4 years now, and if the play-in didn't exist in those 4 years, the Lakers would still be in the playoffs in 3/4 of those years. People act like the play-in helps keep the Lakers in the playoffs, yet in reality, the Lakers don't need the play-in and would still be in the playoffs. The play-in is actually hurting their chances lol

    "CHAMPIONSHIP IDEAS" 😂😂😂

Lol, Bontemps absolutely crushing ESPN’s mandate to talk about the Lakers as contenders.
