I have a Weimaraner, I love him more than I love myself

I had “Spencer Von Cost A lot” for 16 years, best dog, best friend, best companion ever. He was Velcro, he worked in the yard, taught me how to hunt birds, always warmed up the truck and never missed a crumb, I’d gladly shave off a few of my years to have a couple more with him.

After being "owned" by Weimies off and on for some 63 years, I can verify that most of them are smarter then their owners!

I had a female, she grew up with me. Was the best dog any person or family could ask for. Such a smart athletic dog, please do not get one if you can’t let them get their energy out. I’ll never forget her, just watching this video made me tear up. The love these dogs will show you in indescribable, I think about her daily. What a great breed of dogs.

Mine stole my heart for 16 year and I still havent gotten over her after another 14. Finest dog ever.

The sad thing is when i tell my freinds I have a Weimaraner they have no idea what I’m talking about. I also love my two Weimaraners.

Ten more reasons not to get a Weimaraner: 1) You will wear out at least 15 digital cameras or smart phones taking so many pictures. 2) Your spouse will get jealous because the dog is getting more attention than they are. 3) You will drive your friends and family absolutely crazy taking about your sweetie all the time. 4) Your life will be ruled by the dog and you will adjust everything to cater to it. 5) You will not want to leave the house as you will experience more separation anxiety than the dog. 6) Your budget will be stretched to the limit due to massive purchases of toys, treats, collars, bedding, etc. One serious warning sign is that all the clerks at PetSmart know your name by heart. 7) You will develop the habit of waking very slowly and carefully through the house - especially at night - in case the dog might be under foot. 8) You will wear yourself out by all the walks in the park. 9) If the dog is sick or recovering from a visit to the vet, you will not get any sleep as you will stay up all night comforting your buddy. 10) When it's time to say goodbye after they have lived a long and happy life, there will be a big hole left in your heart.

Love it..My college advisor had a Weimarner. She was beautiful, loving and intriguing. We'd go on long horseback rides and the dog was thrilled. Especially we ran through the rural paths and farms of Iowa.

I had two many years ago and I think about them literally every day when I walk by the dog park. I miss them and will eventually talk myself into getting two more.

The title of this video caught my eye immediately as I grew up with a Weimaraner. With such fond memories I thought it was a typo. After the first example I realized it wasn't. Kudos to you this was a beautifully crafted piece of irony to make your point!

Clearly, they needed to supervise the work in the barn. Our 3 have to supervise everything. Also, if you like privacy in the bathroom, don't get a Weimaraner - they have to make sure that you dont escape out the tiny bathroom window! ;-)

I'm with my second Weim, the first adopted me when she ran out of a corn field. She was not chipped and no one responded to the ad I placed. I learned to love the breed. Sandy was a close friend cancer got her after 5 years. My current Weim is a rescue older female, chlo, this will be our fifth Cristmas together she is 10. Each had similar character traits but each had her own personality. I think the breed is the perfect four leggged friend, loyal, brave and surprising in the things they learn and do.

I have one of these dogs I swear they are the best dogs ever on of this is true they are very sweet and loving mine Likud's to cuddle and be around kids and she would never bite anyone I'd say the best dog ever
