Being camped only a couple hours from Virginia Beach, we just had to make a day of it and get over to the ocean. We walk across the boardwalk, see dolphins, visit some shops then head into the city where we try an amazing milkshake and visit a landfill. YES! We will be visiting a landfill.     Very nice!!! Water was calm and clear looking!!! I have a brother that lives around that area. He retired from the Navy in Norfolk. Love the old VW bus. It did look very empty for Virginia Beach.     What a great place to visit. Love the beach and the dolphins. So many great shops to check out. Can't even imagine trying to see them all ! Those steps were quite the work out. Great views above everything. I so enjoyed seeing the beach the most ๐Ÿ˜Š

    I too enjoy watching dolphins off the shore. I also LOVE watching pelicans fly by. In fact after spending a lot of time by a beach Pelicans have become my favorite bird. I love being at the beach during an off-season time, so there isn't many people. I saw the military jet in the video. That area has so many navy and air force bases. I sang that like Anna, from Frozen, "Do you want to ride the ferris wheel?" Mount Trashmore? I love it. I always call landfills "Trash Mountain." I think it's cool that repurposed the trash dump.

    We were at Virgina Beach 30 years ago while We were stationed at langley AFB at the time. Nice to see Neptune has weathered the time well. The dolphins are still there too - Some things never change! Thanks for the Video - brought back good memories for us!

    So nice. I have never been to Virginia Beach. Loved seeing you walk on the beach, show us around the town and see that amazing milkshake. It's hard to believe that area was a former landfill. I mean it has no trees, but looks neat how it has those stairs and is all covered with grass.
