The woman you helped is my grandma!! Can’t believe I’m seeing her in a YouTube video, but what you captured reflects who she is to a “T”. She is the most wonderful woman and thank you so much for helping her out! Her and all 10 of her grandkids are so thankful ❤

You helping out that young woman from Kansas just made my day. You're a good fella Westen! God Speed sir!

Best part of the video was you helping the lady with the tire Weston. Good to see manners and hospitality still exist with young men.

Just happened on to your video of purchasing the old Army Jeep. As a VietNam vet, I'm pretty familiar with the old jeeps. Most all the military vehicles are equipped with a governor on the on the accelerator to limit the speed you can go. My dads old Army Jeep had one and he took it off and was able to drive up to about 75 miles per hour. Check and see if it has one.

1st video in a long time that I haven’t blown up a motor….yet anyway lol

"Think it'd make it a 1200 mile road trip?" "No!" At least he's honest lol

I own one of these. They're incredibly uncomfortable to drive, but they're still fun. It sits in my garage. I drive it on the weekends. A lot of people have classic cars or muscle cars for joy rides on the weekends. I have an old Willy's Jeep. Fun fact: A single person can take it apart and put back together in less than an hour with pretty much just a single wrench. It was designed that way. It's literally 98% frame. It's got very few removable parts. Paid $7500 for it 9 years ago. I do not regret it. On the road I can get it up to about 70, off road about 35. I used it for a week for my daily driver when my truck broke down. It's got a range of about 270mi on a full tank. I'm planning on buying an original soft top for mine when I can find one for a decent price.

Hey Westen, what a gentleman. My favorite part was the grandmother rescue. You the man!

Finally we needed this series to continue forever
  • I just love the great attitude Westin always has about stuff. It is infectious. I should save these videos for when I am in a bad mood and it will change my tune real quick. Thanks for teaching us how to make good times out of tough ones buddy.

That looks like an M38a1 but has the L-Head engine from the older, smaller Willys jeeps in it. Looks like it is no longer 24 volts as well. I have rebuild 2 of those as a hobby mechanic and parts are plentifull especially if you use the early model CJ5 parts as replacements. Be weary of loose steering on those old Ross steering boxes, they can cause instability if you get too fast, the differential gear boxes were really only designed for a max of maybe 45 mph. Have fun!!

that interaction with that nice lady just had Midwesterners written all over it. So kind of you to stop and such grandma energy with the forceful money giving 🤣
  • @AverageBud
The Jeep was the focal point of the video and what a great video it is, but helping a person in need on the side of the road is just awesome. Your are an honest good bunch of people.

Earned yourself a new subscriber with this one, gents. Not only was this every bit as entertaining, but to have the integrity to help that woman and not exploit/advertise it for views tells me everything I need to know about your character. Cheers, ya'll are destined for long-lasting greatness.
  • @peterh9927
This is going to be fun to follow. I'm building a Willys now for long distance adventures. Hopefully mine will go over 40mph !!
  • @johndeer810
It’s always a good day when Westen posts a video
  • @TravisLaRoche
Thank you Westen for providing a proper example of how to treat others. You more than likely just motivated the next guy to stop and help someone else in need on the side of the road. Good job man
  • @bigdeano4459
What good guys. Helping that lady made me smile.
