Today I'm using @Quaker to make baked blended oats that have taken social media by storm. I want to find out if they: 1) taste like cake? 2) are as easy to make as they say 3) taste like cake? 😆🍰

I'm gluten intolerant and blended oats are my favorite wheat replacement. They're cheap and have a nice texture. Highly recommend to my fellow gluten free people!

Omg that oil in the spoon so the honey comes out easily is brilliant!

I said “Plug it in, Emmy” out loud and my mom asked if I was talking to the YouTube, lol

I used to do something similar to this for my picky toddler, except I would blend my oats in a vitamix and put the home made oat flour in the freezer. Then I would just scoop out a little at a time and make oat flour chocolate mug cakes in the microwave for my little one. Super quick and healthier than store bought cakes. Sometimes I would even sneak in mashed black beans into the batter 😉
  • In Denmark we have something called "Havregrynskugler" (Oat grain balls). It was created in 1943 as a way to make something sweet in an easy way during the WWII. It doesn't require any cooking or electricity. They are popular around christmas, but can be eaten any time of the year. 250 gram of oats 150 gram of powdered sugar 50 gram of unsweeten cocoa powder 150 gram butter, soft but not melted. 1 or 2 tablespoons of liquid, can be water, coffee, juice, rum, whisky, pisang ambon, amaretto, etc. Coconut flour, not too finely grind. Mix all ingredients in a bowl except coconut flour. Roll (in your hands) into small balls at a the approx. size of a pingpong ball. Then cover with coconut flour - easily done on a plate. Enjoy.

i do a savory version, like a lil oat bread, every morning in one of those little round tiny frying pans for eggs. i do 1 full tblsp oats, 1 egg, a tblsp of water, a teasp of baking powder and a pinch of salt. fry in very low burner, turn it when first side is done, add cheese to the top side, turn it again for a cheese crust. a ma zing. ❤️
  • CONGRATS on your Quaker Oats sponsorship!! How awesome is that?! The chocolate one looked amazing definitely gonna give it a try❤

Yessss, one of my favorite quick desserts is to just get a bunch of oats, some peanut butter, an egg or two and some brown sugar. Mix it all up and spoonful a bunch on a tray. They come out as big soft cookies that remind me of cake and cookie at the same time. Really good 😋
  • Would it be an Emmymade video if Emmy didn't forget to plug in her appliance or turn on the power strip? Nope, it sure as heck wouldn't!!! EVERYTIME Emmy, Eeeeverytime! ❤️🤣🤣🤣❤️
  • @lbednaz
I love your little tips while cooking! I will be using the bit of oil in a measuring spoon one!

My grandma used to put chopped carrots , walnuts and honey in a jar and place it in the fridge . She would give us kids a spoon every morning and said it helped us to not get sick . Don’t know how true that is but we never got sick and it was delicious !!! We looked forward to it every morning ❤️

LOVE this! We all can use more healthy grains in our diet! And (for me) oats are one of the tastiest grains. They also lend themselves so amazingly well to a variety of flavor profiles. Can't wait to add these recipes into my family's favorites.
  • @madamenordica
thanks for reminding me I can use oats to bake with too! Had to go gluten free to ease gastro symptoms and this is a godsend! :)

I love that you make a point to foster independence in your children. I have some friends who at 20 years old can't cook for themselves 🙃

Recipes like these are always so fun to do! Next time you do it, try using whipped egg whites and adding some melted butter. It keeps them light and moist.
  • This looks absolutely delicious! Would love to see more healthy recipes! ❤️❤️❤️
