Harbor Freight 3500 propane conversion

A quick install video of the Nash propane gas conversion kit. By using this kit we are able to run propane without losing any of the benefits of the predator stock carburetor. This kit allows you to run a tri-fuel mixture, gas, propane and natural gas.

Hey Jeff, we are out of regulators, we sent our entire inventory of generator regs and parts to TX, also had a lot of my vendors drop ship theirs over that way.
Hoping to have more stock towards the end of the month. I have adapters back in stock, just cant get regulators

Running the generator at 50% load a 20lbs lasted 10 hours 45mins. What we are paying for propane from our local ACE hardware is 2.99. So our cost is about the same as gas. The reason we run propane is because its stable for long durations of time, no gumming of the carb and lower fumes.

I've been watching videos about generator fuel conversions. DIY to store bought. For me you are the first to point out the stop flow safety feature. One if those slap on the forehead moments. Thanks!

Thanks for the video and the conversion kit that you used along with all the extras. Makes it look like something I can do on my own, so I can also maintain the generator on my own.

Thanks a million, friend. I just bought one of these a couple weeks ago, and was thinking about something like a propane conversion. Your video makes it look simple enough that I'm going to do it myself.

Thank you! Love my predator 3500. This is really good information.
  • Good job brother, I'm going to install this kit on my 3500. Thank you!

I received the nash deluxe kit that has the regulator and other parts needed for true plug and play ($179.99). Purchased in July 2020 and finally got around to installing. Mine came with thread extensions so you don’t have to mess with extending the bolts when mounting the airbox. Ran it for about 30 minutes and think I’m good to go. I also drilled holes in the airbox, hopefully will alleviate the spark plug fouling. Excited to boondock the camper this weekend. Thanks for the video. Was very helpful!!
  • I recently bought the Predator 3500 and very interested in doing this conversion... great video and explanation !

I did this conversion to my Honda 1000 back in 2008 and still to this day it starts and runs like new. I have 1,000's of hours on this genny it sits in my semi trailer side box all year for hundreds of thousands of vibrations and miles and I use it to power my AC while parked. It has never not once let me down,...not even one time. The propane conversion is why, and I highly recommend it for ANY portable genset.

Thanks for the explanation about the safety feature of the kit. I was wondering why people buy the kits if you can just hack the gas into the air filter.

Added a Motor Snorkel to my 6,500 watt Champion generator a few months ago. Generator $699 CAD on sale, Motor Snorkel $185. Got my natural gas line extended. Got quick disconnects for my natural gas line and propane hose. I can switch between natural gas, propane and gasoline in seconds. You gotta wonder how these generator companies can justify selling open frame tri fuel generators for 2 to 3 times the price of a gas only generator when the upgrade is so simple.

Great video and very informative, thank you.
