One of the few times a director went from "low-budget critically acclaimed dramas" straight to "big-budget effects-driven blockbusters" and it actually working.

Small Easter egg: I think Paxton’s son played the angry customer in the motel. Nice subtle way to nod to the past.
  • Twisters 3 better be some cosmic horror shit. I wanna speak to a tornado in the next one.
  • I absolutely love this movie. It was a fun ride. My 14 year old daughter she love this movie she would not stop quoting Tyler Owens “You don’t face your fears you ride ‘em” gotta love Glen Powell.

As someone who lives in Kansas and has seen his share of Tornado Chasers, this is not cartoonish with Powell’s character 😂🤣😂

I really enjoyed this film. Saw it Thursday night. They did do a slight nod to the first film by having Dorothy IV in the beginning and saying “she’s field tested”, but I appreciate them not beating us over the head with it being a sequel. Also, her character is similar to Bill’s from the original with having a “feeling” for tornadoes directions. Depending on your perception/view of a tornado, it very well could be bright and sunny on one side (say north east) but southwest view can be dark af. So that part of it being sunny was scientifically accurate. Meteorologists always warn people that freeway underpasses and being in your car are the worst places to be during a tornado, but every year people still do it so those parts in this movie just makes sense.

Welcome to the Midwest. This year we had an earthquake and a tornado in the same week.

There were 4 EF5 tornadoes that hit on the same day in 2011, so yes Double Toasted it’s quite possible for an event like what happened with multiple tornadoes in Twisters. There were 260 confirmed tornadoes and 324 fatalities- they called it a super outbreak. The 1974 super outbreak had 7 EF5 tornadoes. The Xenia Ohio one is one of the most famous because of the video footage captured.

Glad y’all are back. I very much missed your videos.

We spent half of the movie joking that the final tornado would be the same that killed Kate's friends. She could recognize it by the scar on the cloud or something...

Really like this movie being a standalone sequel, as opposed to trying hard to remind us of the first one and forced nostalgia bait... Like Ghostbusters 😒 Which speaking of which, I think the idea of focusing on other groups in the same field is a lot more interesting than just relying on the same group or going for the children of the original characters who are just there to slowly replace the old actors when nobody wants that... Again looking at you Ghostbusters.
  • 29:22 Mark! That guy?! People laughed, cheered, and applauded when he got mud flung on him when he got out of the truck! 😂
  • 7:28 Mark! Oh yeah! "The Flying Cow" or "Flying Cow" is the name of the café! (If you're a tourist, as I suppose, to the students and faculty, that's just where they take their breaks and lunches. 🤔 ) 🐮

I laughed so hard when Tyler was there shooting fireworks in the tornado. That was badass lol The movie is great. Definitely worth checking out at the theater.

I loved it, it felt very fresh and a different spin on the original twister. Also loved the el reno, call back. Rest in peace Twistex Crew

“Glen Powell in a legacy sequel/remake/reboot that surpasses the original cliche” * Ding * Much like Maverick this movie is much better than its predecessor, although I think Top Gun has probably aged better. But that’s damning with faint praise really. I’d give Twister a low Rental but Twisters is a high Matinee
