The most bizarre and tragic death that sticks out in my mind was the teenager that died in his minivan in a school parking lot. He apparently had reached over the back of the rear seat to get something from the cargo area instead of opening the tailgate. And the seat tilted in such a way that he got folded between the seat and the tailgate. And there's no way to open it from the inside. He had his phone and called 911 and told them exactly what had happened and exactly where he was. The cops came out and drove around and then assumed it was a prank call and left. In the meantime, his father was also trying to locate him, but he did not know if he was at the middle school or the high school, and he went to the wrong School. You can hear on the 911 call that he is getting weaker and less able to breathe the longer it takes. Ended up dying from asphyxia from the contorted position he was in

The oven has to be one of the worst ways to go, getting cooked alive and not being able to get out. I can't imagine the pain they went thru

I used to be a manager in a large movie theatre. We would do staff meetings on safety that would finish with essentially a game of hide and seek during a fire emergency. This would ensure that our cast knew of every place a child or adult might hide. Most times it was light hearted with me hiding behind screens or others hiding in obscure spots. All jovial when im calling to them from behind a theatre screen telling them they need to check spots like mine and teaching them how to access the spot quite easily. One time while the alarm was going off and i was seeking i asked if anyone had checked the elevator. A senior manager said elevator access is shutoff during a fire alarm. Being the maintenance manager i found the elevator key which is an articulating bar and opened it up. Three employees were inside. I turned to the senior manager and said, "Great, you killed three people because you werent willing to search properly."
  • That elevator story made me sad. 1. She died of no food and water 2. It was for a MONTH 3. Her family didn’t even bother to look for her

That awkward moment when you tell your friend to shoot you point blank with a shotgun to dodge some community service. What an absolute legend. He most certainly achieved the pinnacle of dumbf*ckery and earned himself a Top 10 Darwin Award on his way out. "Don't worry brah, I'll be fine. I'm wearing a pillow."

I was in the cinema recently and I noticed a sign that said "If you drop something behind the seats, don't try to get it yourself! Report it to a member of staff and we'll get it for you." I thought it was kinda odd, I mean how hard can it be to reach down and grab it, but now I guess I have an idea why you should ask the staff for help...

Richard is a legend in Seattle area. They call him the sky king. It’s actually very sad story. Was suicidal and wanted to enjoy the last few hours of his life

The Bakery lost more than $13,000 in lawsuits and fines. Tragedies always cost companies more than doing it correctly in the first place.

Wu's story breaks my heart. She died alone in the dark, I can only imagine how she must have felt.
  • With Jacob’s death. The man that owns the cabin also testified that the top of the chimney was completely impossible to climb down due to bars that were installed when he built it. It is clear to me this boy was murdered, seems pretty obvious some kind of foul play, even if a prank gone wrong and the other people/person fled out of fear when he got stuck and didn’t get help bc they broke in…someone knows what happened to that poor guy. I hope his parents get real answers before they join their son. So sad.

As an AvGeek, Richard's story makes me emotional. He pulled off stunts nobody else has done, and even though he was struggling and unwell, he made sure that when he and the plane went down, nobody else got hurt. He died happy. Rest in Peace SkyKing.
  • The fact that most of these incidence were so avoidable is beyond me
  • @1neOfN0ne
The "Trojan effort" line in the glue story was very well done 😆
  • @cecemepls0
It’s always the trapped deaths that really get to me….purely because of the MENTAL torture that must occur when you KNOW you’re stuck. Maybe you have hope for a few days, but then the terror must sink in as you slowly start to starve, freeze or even hallucinate form being in the dark for so long. Instantaneous deaths are just as tragic, but at least there’s the “comfort” of knowing they didn’t suffer. Being trapped and basically knowing you’re doomed, though……THAT truly, truly terrifies me.
  • @AmandaYoungss
😂 He killed me with: "Despite a TROJAN effort by the doctors to get the makeshift contraception off"
  • Hearing what happened to David is beyond heartbreaking. They killed him and they destroyed all those that loved him. The pain he went through makes me shudder just thinking about it. . I'm just stunned at the audacity of the people that owned that place to put money like that to entice him. I'm so very sorry for all those poor people and their loved ones.

the broken industrial bread oven story was horrific but unsurprising with corporate greed cutting costs at every opportunity, with their workers safety usually ending up as the lowest priority. those two men must have known in their gut that going into that furnace while it was still so obviously hot was an extremely poor idea but they were practically being shoved in there by management. fuck that was awful; rest in peace both of those men.
  • That guy at the Nutty Putty cave in Utah, who went head first down the wrong cave and they couldn't get him out because it was so tight, that story was so sad. And his wife gave birth to his son after he died. So sad
  • @OCDTraci
I cried at the Denny's sign killing that elderly couple. I can't stand it when horrific things happen to old people
