Most important lesson from this video, I think, is that you should never, ever ignore weather warnings when you're on or near the water.
  • @skinnysk8erboy
You gotta be a sad person to send someone death threats because they defended themselves from a shark
  • @Dr.NowIsTheGOAT
The 9 family members 😭 I couldn’t imagine how devastating the losses would be for the rest of their family/extended family
  • @tara_p_rose11
That iceberg tsunami was terrifying!! Seeing that big black ominous wall coming towards me would’ve given me a straight up heart attack right there!!!! Wow!

Overall lesson: Humans have in no way conquered nature and you should always take potential threats seriously

The absolute minimum any captain should do before setting sail is check the weather forecast carefully and delay setting sail if the weather is risky. 🥺
  • @RealBatman5
9 members of the same family is so heart breaking and sad. All of these were tragic and very sad, but i can’t imagine losing 9 family members in just a day 😢.

The "Ride the Ducks" captain did everything wrong from the beginning of his last voyage! It was irresponsible for him to even be on the water, but the clincher of his complete stupidity is telling the passengers it isn't necessary to wear a life jacket! How idiotic! Thank you for another great video!! 🤗❤

When I first heard of the duck boat, I thought people died because they couldn't swim and the lake was choppy, but this is so much worse. They were trapped in a tin can and most had no choice but to wait to die.

If anyone is wondering how some of the duck boat passengers could be stuck on the lake bed but not still be inside the boat. Most humans are negatively boyant at around 30 feet of depth.

The duck boat one is so tragic. I can’t even imagine hearing that 9 members of my family died and not only died but to know their last moments were filled with absolute terror and agony. It’s absolutely heart breaking.😢

Those were members of my family on the duck boat. This was hard to see how they suffered. The Coleman-Curtis family took a big heartbreak. 😢❤️

The people condemning him for defending himself against a shark seriously need to touch some grass 🙄.
  • @fidhammer
Speaking as one who has ridden the Duck boat it was scary after. As soon as we hit the main channel, the boat stalled. It took several tries to get it started af, and they kept going. I grab my kid and got ready to bail out. I swore "never again" and never did.
  • The fact that the same company is responsible for 4 ferry sinkings and the deadliest peacetime maritime disaster is astonishing
  • @SuperBliss79
The iceberg wave got me. I was actually yelling ‘go go go’ at the tv hahaha. Mother Nature at her finest.

I would really recommend covering the MV Doña Paz (also by Sulpicio Lines) tragedy which lead to the death of 4380+ people. That company has a huge body count, and the Doña Paz story has all elements of horror you could think of. Burning ship, jumping down into burning water with sharks underneath, overcrowdedness, lack of life boats and lifevests, permit violations and all kinds of breach of regularions. And it happened on Christmas season. It's all kinds of tragedy in one.

I'd say the presence of pesticide hidden on board was the reason Princess of the Stars was allowed to embark in the first place. Basically a smuggling operation. There was money waiting at the other end of that trip.

Regarding the duckboat tragedy, thank you for presenting the portion of the memorial service in which Amazing Grace is sung.-- Prayers for all the bereaved loved ones regarding these tragedies. 😪🙏
