It's mad how even fathers want the best for their kids even when they're sitting on something quality like the meat place, Pat's doing exactly what he should be tbh as a boss too getting in and doing whatever. Seeing a person being where they are meant to be doing what they do is amazing.

Utopia bagels is what it’s all about, you can tell the owner loves what he’s doing so much, I love seeing businesses like this, that’s why they are as busy and successful as they are, you can’t fake that kind of passion.

  • Apart from showcasing a lot of creativity, and uniqueness, these entrepreneurs simplify the combination of different food types in a role.

Loved this series, very inspiring to see how people can start with little and end up into a massive operation. I love the human element, how sacrificial it is for people to serve a company with integrity, honesty and hard work which leads to happy consumers and a thriving company that can support the livelihood of workers families.

I love how the title is "14 Entrepreneurs Who Built Food Empires" when the actual truth is that for many, it was no single entrepreneur who built them but rather generations of family. I am not disparaging any of these folks achievements but the truth is it is easier to succeed when born into the right circumstances and those born into farming, business or political families will always have an advantage over the average person. Very often through hard work as kids being committed and dedicated to the family business but equally as often it is "not what you know but who you know".

I do have to say THE BEST bagels I've ever had were in New York, Long Island specifically. I remember bringing back a huge paper shopping bag full of them back home and I haven't had a bagel that compares since then.
