He was getting tired in the end, but he kept true and won the race. Good job šŸŽ šŸšŸšŸ

EVER? I was at the Belmont Stakes when Secretariat came across the finish line 31 lengths ahead of the second place horse. I was there and I saw it won! I was only 14 years old! It was amazing. Did it in 2:24. A record that stands till today. 39 years!~

Charlotte gave that horse a fabulous ride. He had bolted at the start and would have hated just slowly wandering round surrounded by other horses. Her judgement of pace and the feel from the horse was perfect. She never went hell for leather, just allowed the horse to stretch and gallop.

There is just something so special watching a horse naturally run with his heart in it and no one interfering!

Secretariat was the biggest & most beautiful horse I ever saw up close (from a distance too) Worked at Arlington Park as a teenager,

That was quite incredible I've never seen a horse shorten up stride in the final sixteenth of a mile like that and win.

This race is obviously not the Belmont Stakes, but it reminded me of the astonishing Secretariat clinching the Triple Crown in 1973. The time he set that day remains the world record!!!

It is so very beautiful to see the horses when they hit their stride. How the heck that horse jumped out hit his stride so fast and never looked back is something to marvel at!!
  • @Henry09
How could anyone be judgemental, the horse ran a brilliant race. Other jocks were waiting for her to come back to them, she had staying power. Congrats šŸ‘

That moment when the cameraman mutters, "I need a more wideangle lens."
  • @carlhoppe
That horse is on a another level!

Nothing to see here....the horse was just practicing social distancing šŸ˜‚

I hope you really appreciate the effort and heart that animal put on that field. I think he deserves a beautiful vacation where he wants. šŸ™šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

Looks like that welcome uplifting combination: horse and rider with faith and trust in each other. Nice one!

'And the Steward has taken it. We will be back after a break to see who comes in second and third.'
  • @aleveraj
Charlotte is not only a brilliant jockey, she's quite pretty and brilliant all around, first class Science degree and all. That day she told trainer James Moffat what her tactics were going to be and won her two races at Newcastle, first with Dagian and then this one. Amazing young lady. After the race she said: "It wasn't much of my choice, The Steward does what The Steward wants"

Reminds me of Sectretariat, from the '70s. Left the others behind, like blowing leaves, swept up in his turbulence. Secretariat still holds records that haven't been beaten.

What a sweetheart....loves to run ...so relaxed...horse and rider in harmony.
