Incredible from Burrows Park and Charlie Deutsch, detached for much of the race but they never-say-die and somehow manage to win at Chepstow for Venetia Williams!

Jockey knew his horse and allowed him not to be stressed or under undue pressure. Really clever riding. Well done! Great race to watch.

Text book pacing on a horse the rider clearly knows.. timed perfectly because he knows his horse is not as tired but is fast enough to pull away when needed. Great race.
  • It was a great pleasure to see the Jockey allow his mount to run the race the way he knew was right. All the other horses took off and fought for the lead. Long race hurdles and undulating track. I was so happy to see the winner was the one with the intelligent Jockey.

As someone who has been horseback riding for about 9 years I haven't seen someone this caring of their horse. A lot of racing horses are sadly abused so that pain is associated with not going at full speed. This rider just let the horse run and do the course in the way it could give its all in the end. Beautiful to see the bond and how this team won.

What I thought was amazing is that it appeared that the jockey didn't even have to use his whip till the very last seconds. The horse had a lot of heart and made that last stretch on his own.

Secretariat did that. Just pasted the other horses like they were standing still, from the back. Still gives me chill bumps.

That was one of the best horse races I've ever seen. The true underdog wins! Congrats to both horse and jockey!
  • That reminded me of Secretariat! The jockey just let him pace himself and then let him do his burst and come from behind. Awesome!
  • I've rarely if ever seen a never-say-die win such as this. Amazing! And superb horsemanship from this jockey Charlie Deutsch!

I have zero interest in horse racing, I've never even had a punt on the Grand National, but even I can see that that was very well done

I am not into racing as I used to be when I was a kid and fascinated about Ruffian and Secretariat, yet this video appeared in my YouTube recommendations and I decided to watch it. Such a good decision! I have never seen such a clean race, even though some jockeys did not calculate well the distance of the jumps, although they use the whip at the end, I feel like this is kind of good comparated to what I am used to see in racing. It's splendid to see this Metaphor of "do not give up" in a real life example. They were losing for a lot of horses in distance, but they got it in the end. Splendid! So, Apply this to your life, do not give up even though it seems that you're not going to win, because with effort you will get it.

What a long race, plus all those jumps! Amazing race all around. The great closing of the last horse, of course, was incredible!

That's the best stretch run comeback I've seen in years wow get that horse with out jumps and see how he fairs

Is it just me or does something about this make you emotional, almost teary. That horse is like a faithful servant who never lets you down even when everyone has written you off. It was especially moving to see it happen while the jockey hardly used the strap

By staying out of trouble at the rear, he was able to save the best for last. In jumping events, some horses can be encouraged to jump too soon by other horses close by, which can severely affect their stride. This could be one of these horses.
