So I just turned 39, I grew up listening to rap in the early to mid 90s, i had a collection of 250 of the greatest rap albums of that era, wish i had kept them all. But basically stopped listening to rap in 1999/2000. Still had my favorites but haven't bought a rap record since. My wife had the car and left the Sirius on some pop/hip hop station, this song started up before I could change the station. I immediately assumed it was something older just from the sound and feel of it, and I was immediately impressed! My point is that for the first time in over 20 years, I heard a new rap song that I liked enough to look up, if it was still the old days I would have done bought the album! Shits cozy! Haha
