  • I was 32 when this brilliant masterpiece was released. One month after a horrible drug overdose. This song was key instrumental in my recovery, and continues to be to this day. 24 years drug free, and definitely a Lucky Man !
  • Always loved this song but the day I was given the all clear from cancer at Manchester Royal I walked into Cafe Nero and this was playing, extra special.

The whole record is a masterpiece, what a production from 90's.
  • More than a bittersweet symphony, I just love this song. Timeless.

We buried my beautiful best friend Pauline to this song, she loved it. We walked behind her coffin and all I could remember was her singing was this song…, Pauline is never forgotten ❤⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dear person reading this, you have good taste in music.
  • I'm 33 years old. My uncle introduced me to the verve when I was a little man. He passed away last year and everytime I hear the verve I get a lump in my throat. RIP uncle Brian ❤❤❤

Take me back to the nineties, please! The world was a different and much better place.
  • It might be 2024 by year, but it will always be the 90s in my heart.
  • My 12 year old son sang this song solo at his school concert tonight. An alltime classic from a legendary artist and band 💯
  • My father died yesterday and as I driving thinking about it all this song came to my mind. I decided to play it and cried tears because I am lucky. I know he would want me to carry on being the best man I can be. I guess it was a gift from him a last gift
  • This is so 1997. Full of great expectations, confidence and a fire and passion for life unmatched.
  • Played this song at my brother's funeral service. Hits like a hammer every time I hear it. Love you bro.
  • A lot of songs didn’t need to be made, this one did. Simply amazing.

It's hard to explain to young people what the UK music scene in the 90s was like. Endless young talented bands with great musicians pumping out classics back to back.
  • Ever since 1997, one of the best songs of that year and that entire decade.
